Wow, Maldon and Tiptree, that's quite a fall from grace for a 29 year old in such a short time who should be in their prime.

Tiptree!!! Ha ha, can't believe the jammy bugger is still finding work. Still, one day he'll find his level.
  • If he keeps signing for a team lower down the pyramid than his last one, I suppose he’ll eventually find his level…
The Dog and Duck are excited for next year.

The manager, Kevin Horlock, has the look of a man who lost a bet there!  😂
Played at Villa Court Rovers with Horlock. Even at a very young age he was a different class, and always thought it was a shame he didn’t play for us as a Plumstead boy.

£2 million is the best transfer sale business we've ever done.

    Very jammy in Tiptree
  • Reckon he will struggle to get to 5 goals for the season  and all their fans will hate him before Christmas.

Even though I am sure he is on a decent wage, to be playing Isthmian League North Division (one step above county league football) must be quite embarrassing, It's a stunning fall from grace; I don't think I have ever seen such a fast, dramatic drop in such a short space of time. Really proves we did amazing to cash in on him, despite a purple patch it was plan to see he was barely a professional player, and time has proven that right.
  • Was technically a Championship player less than 3 years ago, now playing in the 7th tier and he's not 30 yet.

And none of it's down to injuries, just him being crap in the 3rd, 4th and 5th tiers on the way down.

I’m sure Bonne will soon see to that.

13 goals in his last 108 appearances, and 45 of them came last year in non-league, awful player, still don't know how he managed to get to double figures in the Champ

It was only 4 years ago that he got double figures for Ipswich in league one.

Incredibly fast career decline given he's still only 29. If he was 36 you'd maybe understand it.

Not too dissimilar career wise to Josh Magennis

Bonne        played 396, 91 goals at an average of 4.35

Magennis  played 547, 96 goals  at an average of 5.6

Bonne has fallen off a cliff and now turns out for Malden and Tiptree at the age of 29, whilst Magennis played for NI against Germany last night, aged 35.

It must be all about attitude.  I get the impression that Bonne thinks the world owes him a living whereas Madennis quietly gets on with making the most of what he's got.

Reminds me a bit of Bradley Pritchard's career path... (Sorry the comparison slur Bradley!!)

One of those Footballers, who manages to elevate themselves high about their level, but are unable to sustain whatever it is that got them there in the first place... and ends up dropping back down the Leagues.

The big difference though is that half of Bonne's goals came in the National league.

Magennis i don't think has played below league one level.

Similar stats maybe but I won't have this slander of Josh Magennis. Was he a limited player? absolutely. But he had the basic skills to be a league 1 (where he has spent most of his career) footballer. Ball control, reasonable finishing, hold up play, physicality, when he was with us he had decent pace for a big guy. Even of he wasnt scoring he offered lots to the side on and off the ball and in both boxes. Bonne didn't have any of those. Beyond that one purple patch (that includes one goal that went in off his arse) he never looked a competent footballer.

Good. Guy is a charlatan and right obnoxious twat.

Would be hilarious if he struggled at this level.

    Attitude all the way.

Josh is a slap bang average L1 player with a big heart and a good attitude.

bonne is lazy with a big ego.

Josh was limited but I will never forget the great finish against Portsmouth at the valley which turned out to be the winner in a tight 1-0 game. The problem was, he scored it for Portsmouth 😂

You must be mistaken. We have never lost to Portsmouth.

When Josh played, at least you knew the centre backs would know they'd been in a game...

A monster of a handful, was Josn...
