Hoping Dixon can start to pick up some form. The initial spark seems to have gone away. Crawley seem to be suffering with the post league 1 relegation collapse
I can see him going back to Jamaica for good , sooner rather than later . Shame it hasn’t worked out .

Very odd the Zach Mitchell loan to Hibs if he’s not even getting in their squad - needs to be playing football.

Played midweek for their unders, so he's not injured
Didn’t say he was - why loan him to play youth football - could have done that here.

Really interesting that Mbick is starting over Samson Tovide already given the amount of hype that's been around Tovide in the past year.

Particularly given we were supposedly close to signing Tovide

Exactly, was also heavily linked to go to Stockport to replace Tanto as well but they went for Mothersille and Nathan Lowe instead.

I had misgivings about Mbick going to Col U after the Zach Mitchell loan didn't work but this seems to be really working for Micah.

According to the Walsall manager, Kanu came off late feeling something in his calf, hoping it was cramp.

    What hasn’t it worked out?

he signed as a teenager from the other side of the world and scored goals for fun at u-21 level.

he is 3 months into mens football and has showed glimpses of brilliance. He is learning and is a project. But yet you right off the kid after 15 games in mens football when he only turned 21 yesterday.
I don’t doubt he could have a good career in men’s English football but if he’s not an automatic starter at L2 level at 21 can’t see any chance of him ever breaking into our first team in the championship considering when we have the likes of Leaburn, TC, Apter, Karoy all similar ages and already in the first team. Ideally we sell him we make a profit he gets to play regular football and a L1/L2 get a good footballer when he does move on

Jamie Vardy would have had no career if he based it on logic like this.

Where was Kayne Ramsay when he had just turned 21?

Certainly the youngsters are doing well. Dixon seems to be doing ok but he was never going to set the world alight, Taylor is doing fine if a bit unspectacular and Ahadme is struggling to make an impact. Alex Mitchell was doing well but is injured (I haven’t dug much further into that yet) but Zach Mitchell is the real concern. If he doesn’t make squads after the international break it will be a real worry

This says A Mitchell missed out at the weekend for personal reasons rather than injury. Good news on one front but hope all is well for Alex

PizzaInsuranceVans Trophy tonight. It's the Charlton loanee derby as Walsall host Northampton while Stevenage have Bromley and Colchester are visited by Gillingham. All games will be on Sky Sports+ if you're bothered

Micah Mbick on the bench tonight for Colchester, so he’s being rested for the dogshit trophy games I guess.
Judging by Samson Tovide’s miss from 1 yard out tonight, I reckon Micah’s place in the starting 11 for league games looks safe.

Kanu was completely rested. Taylor has come on off the bench and Ahadme started but doesn’t seem to have done anything

Wondered where Dixon was in the Crawley line up earlier, took me far too long to realise he'd be off with Jamaica

We do need Ahadme to put himself in the shop window, so am happy with that.

Perfect striker movement there which is definitely something we haven’t seen from him here yet
