One seems unfortunate, three looks like carelessness.

Not really, if they're being poached by Prem clubs then it's the same as good players being signed by clubs higher up, it means people have sat up and taken notice of us

This feels different, this is Tom doing a great job and being given a chance to work with higher quality players. It’s the kind of character you need, yes it’s a shame but I trust the club to recruit well and I’m sure Steve Avory will be involved in that process

Not at all, those positions are like any normal job we do. If you are approached by a bigger company who offer better wages and you are unable to match it, you don’t stay around.

Can't argue with that. We must be doing something right. Good luck to him.

All 3 have left to join premier league clubs if they were moving sideways and backwards then you can question it but not when they’re leaving to make the step up

How many behind-the-scenes staff have we lost this season?

    A shame.

The next appointment will probably be influenced by advice from Steve Avory, I hope it is one that sustains our standards.
The churn is bound to be a bit unsettling.
    Good luck Tom.

Just like the young players, when prem money comes calling not unnaturally off you go.

If they can't get our players, get our coaches...

    The Premier League strikes again!

Our academy is the envy of the football league, both EFL and premier league.

It makes sense for other clubs to poach our academy staff, so they have inside knowledge on how we are so successful.

The owners have the resources, unlike previous ownerships, to finally invest and get the cat 1 status our academy clearly is worthy of. Then we won't have a drain on the coaching staff and out brightest playing talent. As well as the want for NJ to take us to the promise land of premier league, getting Cat 1 for the academy should be as important.

I agree, but we could still lose players and staff to richer or more prestigious clubs. It would reduce the slippage, however.

Sorry but he hasn't got the skills and education experience to be an academy manager.

I'd expect Tom's replacement to be someone from a similar background to his stepping up from Cambridge. Be enough very well qualified candidates from other academy's.

I feel a bit sad for our Academy players. The only downside of our promotion is that the route into the first team is now much tougher. Inevitably.
Had we still been in L1 I imagine Zak Mitchell, Asimwe, Kanu, Fullah and maybe Enslin would have been in or around the first team. Even Anderson is now on the periphery. Now they all, even Fullah, look a long way off being able to manage Champ football.
I wonder if this has been a factor in the backroom boys' departures?

Shame to see he'll be going but agree with others this will happen when we're successful and PL clubs come in for staff, just as it would if they made offers for our players.
