Wouldn’t be a Nathan Jones side with an unexpected old experienced player on a short term deal. Based on his comments sees him as one of the potential wide forwards/attacking wingback role. Not sure who drops out though
Edwards, maybe? You know, the guy who hobbled off on Saturday?
Have we actually had it confirmed what’s happened to him or how long he’s out for

It happened 2 days ago, no chance anyone knows yet, earliest we would have managed to get an MRI scan, if it requires one, is today (doubtful) then they need to work out what's actually injured. Usually they wait for a few days for any swelling or inflammation to subside.
It was pretty obvious at the time that it looked bad for Edwards - similar to last season and the same ankle I think so could even be worse. I’d expect at least a couple of months.
Seems Onel was already training with us so perhaps not a direct link - unless we are so prepared we have a whole shadow squad of free agents just waiting in the wings?
I said to Mr W the other day that NJ’s recruitment reminds me a lot of early Curbs’ signings. Hungry, angry and preferably both. Onel seems to tick those boxes. Welcome.
Edwards got stretchered off last season and missed a month. This time around he at least gave it a go before he came off obviously doesn’t mean anything but prefer to remain optimistic as the guy is a fitness freak. Get the Hernandez signing but can’t say I’m not disappointed we aren’t willing to see what Fullah could have offered
If Edwards was out long term and we wanted cover, a left back like Joe Bennett would have been a more obvious short term signing than a creative winger.

If Edwards injury is serious, I wouldn't mind bringing Bennett in for the short-term
Reading his wiki page, it seems he played as a wing back during a loan spell at Birmingham a few years ago.
I trust in Jones, if he's seen enough of the guy in training in the past few weeks, then it's good enough for me. 8 years in England and never played below Championship level, so i'm quite surprised he hasn't managed to find a deal anywhere else until now.
However he'll be pretty cheap and as it's only a short term deal until January it's not exactly going to be an issue if he turns out to be rubbish.

I thought the same initially, however the thinking may be that Apter can cover the left back role with Bell first choice. Leaves us short with an attacking option off the bench. Hernandez now fills that attacking option?
The first video I select to watch of him and he mentions retirement and training with 'another' club. Special moment when his daughter kicks the ball in his face.

I asked my mate about this last night who is season ticket holder at the Blues. He recalls him more as an out and out winger, good for assists, but won't score many.
Based on that my best guess is with the introduction of bree right side, jonesy wants a more attacking wing back option for the left side. As we know, jonesy seems to favour lop sided wing backs.
So I've seen - he's cover for Edwards, Tanto should be a bit disappointed.
Watch the video. A right footed attacking left midfielder. It's the kick up the backside for TC is what it is! A few years ago now, but this fella created a hell of a lot of goals for the free scoring Pukki. If he can rediscover that form then Kelman might be the big winner here.
How can he be brought in as cover for Edwards when he's been training with the team for weeks.

That makes sense, we can play the current way but flip it, with an attacking LWB and a more defensive RWB.
We could even try Apter in TCs role but instead he’ll drift out to the right.

Wouldn't mind seeing Apter in that role or as a No10 (unlikely I know to see him as a 10 with Knibbs ahead of him if Sonny needed a break)

I’ve been wondering about this, would force Bree to be a bit more defensive which is the downside

Two in one night!
Bingo.
Even when the club know, we won't
Don’t personally see this as having any correlation to Edwards injury, been training with us for over two weeks.
"...impact pacy player".
Then he'll be one of NJs 'game finishers'.

Apter Bree Burke Bell Hernadez
JRC Carey
Knibbs
Tanto Kelman
A whole starting XI of new signings.
Not going to happen as Docherty won't be dropped but it would now be possible.
There’s only One L Hernandez 🎶
…🤦

" We should have kept him, 20 mins from the bench and he causes chaos".
Sounds a bit like a winger version of Aneke!
