Rare error from Skeels there but we've weathered it. That's a brilliant away win considering the investment Newcastle have made over the summer. We were good enough up to the goal that if we'd carried on playing that way I think we could have got a second but we retreated into the shell after that and trusted the defence and keeper and we were never too troubled apart from right at the end where Whitehouse saved us. One thing we did really well was shithousing Newcastle's dangerous players when they came on. Hayles got absolutely outfoxed by our defenders and we let them get frustrated and their threat petered out. It's not a particularly inspiring watch this team but if we keep grinding out 1-0s then we can't really complain. Just a shame we didn't show up against a very rubbish Ipswich side the other day
That's big. After the week we've had, to go to Newcastle and win (even with their poor start) shows great resilience. I was only able to watch the second half, but Elisha N'Dow was excellent and Sophie Whitehouse was again there when we really needed her - like the men, we're really hard to break down.
In a smaller league like this where there's only 22 games and 66 points up for grabs, every win is huge, and whilst we've not been pretty so far, 10 out of 12 points is a great start. Another big test in Sunderland next week

Thoroughly deserved 👏🏻👏🏻
The ticket office has told me there are problems. (I suspect it has to be "loaded" for each game and they don't know how to do it.)
Plastic replacement arrived today.
