The fans slagging off Kelman most likey the same who write of Reece Burke when we signed him .. complaining about another Luton player etc etc but there eating their words now and they will be with Kelman .. Even Godden would be struggling at the moment cause Campbell so badly of form and not creating a thing ..
did tc have a go on your mrs mate ? Genuinely  Embarrassing how much you have it in for him

Very decent away numbers from us, first time seeing the official number

What I like seeing as well is how many groups of young fans and young adults that go Charlton away, the future is bright and it amazes me how that last decade didn't do as much damage as I thought it would.

It's mainly been terrible watching Charlton for anyone born in the year 2000 onwards so fair bloody play, proud.
Agree with this.  Plus 2000 for Sheff Utd given the distance is a great turnout

I too am pleased some of the younger generation can now hopefully experience some success at a decent level.  I was lucky enough to be 16-25 from 98/07, which meant I saw all of our time in the Prem at an age I could go pretty much every week, home and away

some of the dross the younger generations have had to put up with over the last 10 years, yet putting the hard miles in going to the likes of Shrewsbury, Northampton, Bristol Rovers etc (and losing to these sorts of teams), they deserve a few wins against bigger and better clubs
I read somewhere today (I'm a bit behind :D) of how the Tanto goal delighted 1159 delirious Charlton fans. Were the other 795 debating whether he was lucky to score ?

Decent figures for Wigan, have they all been local derbies ?

It will come. Both Kelman and Leaburn have extremely high ceilings. I don't think we need to over think it.
    Leaburn needs one, he's 6'7.

It's not an average, it's what they took to Bolton on Saturday.

Blackburn vs Ipswich (incredible support tbh)
    Bolton vs Wigan
    Leicester vs Coventry
    Hull vs Southampton
    Cardiff vs Bradord (good numbers)
    Portsmouth vs Sheff Wed
Blackpool vs Barnsley (sell out I think?)

2 very local, rest quite a lot of miles done.

Have Ipswich always been that well followed away? That’s insane numbers to take to Blackburn, probably one of the least glamorous aways in the league.

It seems to me that many of our opponent's fans have highlighted Campbell as our danger man after the game!

I think so yes, same with Norwich. Whenever I've had mates say our support numbers wise hasn't been good I've always said well look at the competition in London we face. Go to any school in the Charlton area and I bet there will be more Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U fans than Charlton so numbers wise we do really well. What I mean is if you live in Ipswich pretty much guaranteed you support Ipswich same with Norwich, Pompey, Newcastle etc one club towns

No. They’re riding the crest of a wave I think over the last couple of years / feel good factor

Deffo, my Millwall mate was full of praise for TC after our game, said he was the best player on the pitch. He also said this after the playoff games when a lot of addicks were saying he was a bit out of sorts.

I'm sure we are all happy he's on our side and not the oppositions...

    Definitely surged recently, like Birmingham.

Always been well supported but I can remember St Andrews and Portman Road with empty seats plenty of times, also don't think either were travelling that well when they were stagnating in the Championship.

Relegation and new ownership sparked life into both of them, more so Birmingham though, Ipswich have generally always been fairly well supported.

In my whole year group at school only 2 other kids supported Charlton, and to my knowledge neither go to games now.

In all my jobs working in South East London I have only ever met 2 Charlton fans and I think both went to games.

I walk around here in Norwich and see kids and adults wearing Norwich merchandise constantly, completely different culture.

I was curious to see our away attendance for last time I visited Bramall Lane in 2017, and even though I know it felt empty at the time, I am surprised looking at the actual number.

    589. Now I know circumstances are different, we are in a league above, it's earlier on in the season so optimism is there, and then it was in the Roland era, where a lot of people had given up, but a 1400 increase within a decade is quite impressive nonetheless.

Not sure he was watching the same match.

Who the hell was Botaka? I have absolutely no memory of any such player. And whoever he was, why was he not playing instead of Ulvestad, of whom I have only bad memories?

Belgian / Congolese winger. Spent that season on loan from Leeds. Following summer he signed with Sint Truiden where he spent the next three seasons. He plays in the Israeli league now.
