Crawley played Dixon at RWB today. He was left 3 v 2 at the back multiple times and was forced to play so deep. Horrendous from the manager.
That's absolutely bizarre management given he's played as a 10/winger in the rest of his appearances. He's not got anywhere near the physical or defensive side to play as a wingback.

Could say the same about Apter to be fair. It can work if balance of the team means it's a very attacking WB role.

But then I think Dixon's a striker who can drift wide, not a winger you can play as an attacking WB.

Yeah I see him exactly as that , a striker that's naturally going to drift wide. Would be interesting to see him with a big target man because I think that would cause a lot of problems. Crawley do now have Ryan Loft who is that classic L2 big target man.
  • Asiimwe- Another solid game for Wimbledon pocketed Doncaster’s LW winger in a 2-1 win.

A.Mitchell- Scored today but didn’t count because L1 doesn’t have goal line technology subbed after 71 mins.

Taylor- Had a poor game for Northampton today got bullied in midfield subbed after 69 mins.

Dixon- Subbed on after 53 mins didn’t have an impact on the game.

Ahadme- Subbed on after 68 mins won practically all of his duels and held the ball up very well.

Mbick- Scored today with a nice finish from a cut back from the penalty spot Colchester fans very impressed with his overall hold up play.

Kanu- Scored again shock still no clue why he’s at a L2 side

Z.Mitchell- Not in the squad again today
You were at all these games ?

Correct but Stevenage are also massively overperforming, I expect they will drop off a bit and he'll get a chance
  • I wonder if Pat Casey will return to Charlton given the lack of playing time at Maidstone.

Academy graduate Patrick Casey has returned to the club following a 28-day loan spell at Maidstone United.

In fairness, Jamie Reid is one of the better strikers in league 1. If Reid’s fit then Ahadme is probably not going to start many games at all

2 league appearances and one cup appearance
  • Does the no more than 2 clubs in a season rule count for non league too?  If so I hope Casey's next loan move works out better and I hope we don't send any more players to Maidstone whilst their current manager is there.
