Looked like some bloke was gobbing off at him and he reacted. Must have been pretty close to the mark to get him that heated.fenaddick said:

You scouse?0

Gob in london means spit. There was no spitting0

If it’s not an English team, then would love to see Bayern win it. For Kane obviously but that front 4 is playing irresistible football at the moment.1

It's pretty hard for any big club to fail given that the top 24 go through.North Lower Neil said:Feels like there's no jeopardy to them losing though.
It's so hard for the top clubs to fail to get out of the league stage now.
But there is some jeopardy as we saw last season with Man City and Real Madrid only making the play off round and drawing each other. Other big clubs like Juventus and AC Milan made it through but were then knocked out in the play off round.
So you definitely want to try and make the top 8, not only to avoid a banana skin in the play off round, but also because you don't have to play 2 extra games.2 -
Flip side to that argument is that (from memory) PSG lost their first 4 games, went into the play off round and then won the whole thing1
-
They had 4 points from 5 games but then won the last 3. Their entire season turned around with the comeback v Man City in game 7. 0-2 down and would've ultimately gone out had they lost, but came back and won 4-2..........and the rest is history.fenaddick said:Flip side to that argument is that (from memory) PSG lost their first 4 games, went into the play off round and then won the whole thing1 -
Prefer the new format. More bigger games between decent sides. Usually in league format, the last couple games are a foregone conclusion.2
-
I like the slight randomness of the new group format.2

I miss there being home and away ties between the same teams. I know it happens in the knockouts but there was something great about seeing the difference between games at the “big” clubs stadium and then somewhere in Eastern Europe0
-
You'll still get that with the Conference League games played at Selhurst Parkfenaddick said:I miss there being home and away ties between the same teams. I prefer it, there is an element of luck of draw but the same as before with seedings just some are going to get a better draw. The drama on the last week last season was good as there were a lot of things to play for, definitely more drama0

Interesting that people are coming around to the new format. Makes me wonder if we could see something similar at a World Cup in the future.I’m imagining the 48 teams split evenly (based on ranking) into two split divisions of 24 each, meaning you still only need 12 host stadiums to ensure everyone can kick off at the same time on the last match day.
Eventually you could see FIFA expanding to 60 or 64 teams where you’d need 15 or 16 stadiums available.1 -

Please god no, this would be terrible. I already think that having 48 is too many.Callumcafc said:Interesting that people are coming around to the new format. Rashford not doing his England prospects any harm tonight.1
-
Both very good goals. Second one was fantastic.1
-
Yet another player who leaves Man U and starts playing well.

Love goals that go in off the underside of the bar1

Gobby, gob off, is mouthy, that's what I was referring to, it I'd used in London.orpingtonRED said:Gob in london means spit. There was no spitting
Oh and there was spit but from Atletico stuff member.0 -
Not all that keen on Rashford and think he can be very wasteful but that just proves why he should be in the England squad. Can create goals from nothing and there's not many others who can do that in the squadphilcafc said:Rashford not doing his England prospects any harm tonight.0 -

8 second half goals, with Juve scoring in 94th & 96th to draw 4-4.fenaddick said:Juventus v Dortmund game absolutely crazyAlmost exactly 25 years ago (on 13th September 2000) to the day, the Hamburg v Juventus game finished 4-4 too and the current managers of Tuesday's game, namely Igor Tudor (22 career goals) and Nico Kovac (63 career goals), both scored.
