The comms seems to have been even worse for this game than ours. Millwall fans were supposedly being held back but I don't think anything was said about the re-routing of Palace (could be wrong, I don't follow their comms) and then in the end Palace got re-routed and Millwall released on FT anyway.
It would appear the Met see Saturday as a roaring success.
Why not just give them the red carpet at every game they play?

Keep it going. If it’s only looks like Charlton fans were inconvenienced then people will say so what. The more widespread this is publicised that this happens the better to totally discredit it.
It’s incredulous that anti-social behaviour is rewarded and basically encouraged by the Met by penalising and inconveniencing others.
Millwall fans are the common factor here. If they are a problem to control then they should be the ones inconvenienced. Make them have to put up with extra controls and hanging around after everyone else has gone home. Limit the number of tickets they can have for away games if the OB can’t handle them. The problems and threat they create would soon go away.
Thanks. the comments below reflect our complaints very closely; "The police were clueless last night. Blocking of roads, make roads tighter, by putting trucks and police Van's either side of the road etc. They could have made thia into a very serious outcome. All they had to to do was to keep the Millwall supporters in the ground."

It's an idea that seems so obvious to everyone.........except the police.

Has nothing been learnt from Hillsborough ? Imagine a police horse getting spooked & charging off down the road. Or a few Millwall fans in the home end & start a scrap when everyone is blocked in. Or just someone panicking or collapsing & they have nowhere to go.
Interesting that the original plan was to get Millwall fans out of thr ground and then contain them outside the turnstiles. Maybe to minimise damage inside the ground?

If Millwall fans had kicked off inside the "stadium" and ripped their end to pieces, the damage could have run into the dozens of pounds.

It’s what they did to us for the cup game a few years ago. Got us out of the stadium and then kettled us in the local, residential streets.

I was there. When we finally found the Valley Express coach there was a Millwall fan kicking the door. The coach driver made us all close the curtains while he drove 'a back route' to avoid trouble.
Millwall fans sang "25 stitches, it should have been more" at Mateta.
I would guess you are more offended than Mateta
Please point out where I said I was offended?
Just pointing out that Millwall fans are scum 24/7.
They're shithouses, and always have been. Even the ones that aren't thugs love the reputation that goes along with being associates with them. Filthy fucking tramps, the lot of them.

Pretty sure it was the spanners who had to wait?

Pure stupidity.
Fun at the station.
I certainly wouldn’t. Would you?
No sympathy given they constantly kettling us
