i do think the keeper could of done better for there goal he does seem to parry a lot
Rubbish he was excellent he controlled his area very well made an excellent save unfortunately the ball went straight to a Millwall player …
It’s straight at him, he should be catching that, anything away from him and I’d say he should have parred it away.
12 yards out very powerful shot can promise you no keeper in world football catches that. In terms of parrying it’s very difficult to palm it out to the side with how central the strike is, the only possible thing he may have been able to do is palm it towards bell than Bangura but those margins ur looking at world class keepers not championship ones.
One of my sons was in the club shop and whilst queuing a young lad behind asked his mum if he could have a scarf (proper Charlton scarf) , she said no you have the half and half Wrexham scarf at home 🤦♂️ poor fucker . then my son said he was so close to getting me a Charlton/ scum half and half scarf for Christmas after the delight I showed when they got me the Wrexham one but couldn’t bring himself to do it knowing how 🥩y I’d get and me crying 😭 about it

From that picture, if he parries almost anywhere other than where it went then they ain't scoring. Fine margins and all that, but it goes straight into the blokes path.

Yes, but due to th epace on the ball, more bad luck than poor keeping.

Difficult one this as it's a reaction save. I think when he looks back at it he will be disappointed because he has parried it right into the area you're told not to parry the ball (centre of your box). Could he of taken the sting out of it and smothered the ball? Maybe but from 12 yards out and the pace it's all happening its a tough situation
Has anybody seen Millwall fan? Does he still think they r playoff material and miles ahead of us as a club ? It’ll be all about their injuries - glossing over the fact our main striker and bullet loader are out injured - and then there’s my favourite - Coburn 😂😂
There's always been a very specific thing with English fans where they absolutely hate keepers punching the ball and always want them to catch it instead. Sometimes punching is the best option when there's lots of players around a keeper and he's not sure he can take the catch without risking dropping it at a striker's feet and I think Kaminski judged those pretty well on Saturday. It's absolutely hilarious though that though not only are they supposed to catch all high balls our keepers are now supposed to also be catching shots smashed at them from 12 yards out as well. I've seen a few people say he should have caught that shot now and it's insane

Some good views from both sides and from players and Managers. Coopers assertion that dealing with the way Jones plays is difficult but they expected it but didn't handle it well in the first half is probably as I saw it and I thought Cooper and his fellow defenders handled most of our balls into the box well but we were then wearing them down resulting in the goal. I don't think this point has been made on here or on any Millwall forum, that draw ended Millwall's 100% away record, not a disaster in normal terms but as my Millwall mates pointed out, their home form is shocking and they have struggled to break teams down at home, their best performances have been away from home and 'News at Den' generally declared 'it wasnt a good watch but the anoraks didn't beat us'. Getting in the top six doesn't happen without home form, I think, at the moment, Millwall haven't achieved that, whilst Charlton are a good way ahead to achieving it.

Yeh you're right there are occasions when better to punch....but I just can't remember the great top UK keepers doing it much or at all in 60's/70's-Banks Shilton etc- seemed to come in with the European influence. Its always a balance of choice and decision making.

I think that's just things evolving though, doesn't mean Banks, Shilton etc. were right. Shilton pretty much used to jump after the penalty had gone past him, glad things have evolved past that!
a lot of concern about the lack of goals from our strikers. Are they failures/poor form/ lack of quality/don't suit our system? Or does the real problem lie with a lack of creative play from central midfield? To me we 'll not know if the strikers are any good until we have a better balance of creativity in central midfield. They spend their time stopping the opposition "being the best versions of themselves" and that means tackling, blocking, tracking , but passing and creativity are lesser priorities.Discuss.
Overall thought we played really well, obviously with 10 men we had to sit back more but for the vast majority of the game up to that moment we were well on top.
Need to find a way to kill games off though but it will come, many of our team are new in the door and still bedding in.

I think our creativity is meant to come from the wings, but if they do manage to cross a ball it's usually too long or there is no one in the middle to take advantage of it
Effort 10/10 Commitment 10/10 Judgement under pressure 8/10 Game plan ( executed ) 7/10 Gsme plan ( creativity ) 5/10 Threat 7/10 Pleasure to support 15/10 Fans - Millwall were total shite
Who threatened who? Largely agree with all these, but don't think either team created much. Its been 4 enjoyable home games so far but its mainly the enthusiasm of our support, it makes such a difference.
I thought they were not at the races, we were. We still need to create proper chances, a cracking strike from Carey and good performances by most but still nothing for Kelman to feed off.
Ramsey was just stupid and cost us the 3 points in the end, one cracking challenge then a silly one to follow, even the first he should have probably not risked knowing he is on a yellow and then a bit of adrenaline. Still hopefully he learns from it and will more than make up for it over the season.
Overall happy with the performance, but we let them back in. Watched with a couple of Millwall mates in Maidstone so unfortunate and even they were saying we should have won.

Too weak, along the ground and hits the first defender usually.

It’s not straight at him which is pretty clear the ball is beyond his hands so no option but to parry it and hope your defenders are switched on for the rebound
When we do eventually see GODden Ole the talisman back in the Charlton Red, he will be "Like a new signing", can't come soon enough...🙏
Not sure he would have done anymore then Kelman did .. think people short memory start of last season he struggled think it was 2 in 14 his first goal was pen …think it’s going to take a change of system to get us going althrough it may mean we start to concede 2 and 3 if we start to be more attacking ??

I haven't got a short memory Ronnie, I remember the start of last season only too well as most of us do, and we need Godden back ASAP, that's for sure...

Latest upload in a while but didn't feel the rush with the result, also had a fairly busy weekend.
Apologies for the profanity, and the lack of content towards the end where my battery died.
