Well that went to plan, just two stewards on the gate between Jimmy Seed stand and East Stand. Punches thrown between the fence, stuff thrown by both fans. Then Millwall fans forced the gate and a few fights broke up going up the steps. One Charlton fan shouted "this is a family stand". All the planning, where were stewards and police on this section of the stadium to stop this flash point.
All too busy arguing with people in wheelchairs and on crutches that they need to go the long way or wait half an hour for them to reopen Floyd Road!
Question. Why were you there to witness that and not walk down Harvey Gardens as requested? I exited the West Stand and it was clear you couldn’t use the normal gate by the shop.
Lets face it many deliberately went the wrong’ way and of course some didn’t know because of the poor comms by the club.
Because my mum and dad are limited in mobility and have a blue badge, so were entitled to go that way as per the instructions.

We don't want genuine Charlton fans not coming to games just because the authorities can't figure out how to handle 3000 away fans.
No reason our fans of any age should have to avoid a game because they can't walk a mile to avoid police restrictions.
Plus a box full of Millwall fans right behind me. It got nasty when they scored, but no steward support or police came.
And when they went through the gate to confront Charlton supporters exiting the Curbs stand, barely a steward and again no police.
Plenty of police standing in front of the police box doing nothing though.
I was four rows in front of that box. A load of aggressive wankers giving it the big un to the hardcore ultras of Curbs E block. How the hell is that allowed to happen?
I sit at the back of E block, so this was right near me. Isn't that box the Valley Gold box, meaning the only people sat in it should have been 4 Valley Gold members (as well as their +1s), or have they stopped doing that or are using a different box this season?
I didn't see a Millwall fan dragged out and taken to the away end as I was focusing on the game. All I saw was stewards protecting the Millwall fans by holding some Charlton fans back.
I did think of your comment earlier when i saw the bloke in the shirt in our stand....and thought yeah maybe it's not a brotherly everton liverpool rivalry lol

Just imagine if that gate separated our more up for it fans from them rather than the fans we have in the east stand. Bloke who is clearly not about all that in glasses holding his hands up to show he's not interested gets a clump. If that's what their lot are about these days deary me. Breaking into a stand housed by mainly scarfer types and clearly significantly outnumbering those who are up for it.

Get up to the woods with like minded people, pay a subsidy to the NHS to sort you out afterwards or go to a boxing club and leave the rest of us to get on with the game ffs.

Some innocent non-trouble normal with his hands up shouting it’s a family stand about to cop one.
They must be so proud. Look at the other photos they were rushing to, at the top of the stairs a dad, his 13yr old and 4 teenagers, and to the left a couple of blokes in their 70s. May have been a couple our side that didn’t help things but you’re talking about a couple not a baying mob.
