Leaburn doesnt possess pace or a quick turn but he set up TC for a chance single handely towards the end. Like his dad a good footballing brain at this level. He, like Kelman will never be prolific scoreres the way our team is set up.
If we set the team up in a different way and we will concede a hatfull of goals.
or we could have played a different midfield?
ultimately we go down trying to play a bit of football or trying to play hoofball and still getiing relegated ... or a mix of both.
Our midfield was our strongest part of the team today. Millwall got virtually nothing through the centre of the pitch
That depends on whether you want an offensive or defensive midfield. Sure we don’t ship a load of goals but are we reallly creating?
  • Didn't deserve to win. Didn't deserve to lose.

Defended well and tried hard throughout the team.

Leaburn had to cover their entire back four. Pointless and impossible task. If you look at their goal, the guy has run off Docherty.
Chunes please point to these people that we were down to ten men, we will have gaps we can't cover in that situation.
  • Ramsay will know he cost us the win. He is very much in credit so hey ho. It is frustrating as he didn't need to go for that challenge but it was a highly charged derby and that may have been a factor. What was frustrating is Millwall are shit. I summed them up a few weeks ago and got some lols but I am right and I am sure we are going to finish above them. Lol as much as you like but let me throw them back at you with good grace when I am proven right.
  • Didn't understand why Ramsey opted to take a step back when the ball was there for the taking before his stupid tackle.

  • It's clear to most fans and even Sam Parkin on the Sky Comms that Kelman is simply not getting the support he needs.

Although I'd love to see this happen is Nathan going to change the approach or is he going to persevere?

    Anyone got a clue?

I just don't see Nathan changing hoofball and if that's the case then surely Tanto should be on the pitch?
  • As said - in my mind the only problem is that this Millwall team are poor. They are bottom three , we need to improve .

I think it was because the guy landed across his face from the first tackle and he lost sight of the ball
  • Good on Jones for calling out Ramsay - the former normally talks rubbish in his non winning interviews but he’s spot on .
  • If anyone wants a slight bit of positivity their front 2 cost more than our entire Starting XI
    They woz robbed...🤷‍♂️
  • A galliant effort. We didn't lose which was a distinct possibility after Ramsay's moment of madness.
Thought we were much the stronger and would've won that comfortably.
Stand out performances from Campbell and Carey.
On the negative side I thought Apter looked very league one today. Struggled with the pace and in particular the time you get on the ball.
More concerning for me is Kelman.
Doesn't bust a gut does he. I think it was Carey bombing into the box and Kelman was ambling along a fair way behind him. He's under a bit of pressure. I get it and this side hardly creates a multitude of chances. But I'm yet to see him have the Godden ability of making something happen when it's not falling in your lap.

  • Thought we played very well from defense to midfield and overall deserved the win. But very few chances created and Kelman on his own up there was never going to do much. Leaburn got more joy because he was bigger against their guys. The sending off was clearly decisive although they were a little stronger by then. Great atmosphere and the wait to beat them goes on. But, as others have said, this is all great progress in this division. We are playing like a real Championship team and in our first season this is critical.
  • Meanwhile ...

Harvery Gardens is absolutely rammed so good luck trying to get away.

F***ing Spanners. Instead if the police closing the roads they should have been put in solitary confinement instead until we'd got away from the ground.
If Fauxrage gets to build his nine new prisons, they’ll have somewhere comfy to stay.
  • Well, at least we didn’t lose.

He didn't realise where the ball was after his first tackle.
Bizarelly this happend a few times today. Edwards in particular seemed to be blindly scanning the air for the ball shortly after challenges.
  • Should have won, but good performance. It’s going to be a frustrating season and ppl need to get used to it
