on the other side of the coin there was an old millwall fella walking down the street and some Charlton young fucktards started giving it to him ffs (my nephew saw this)
my kids were young last time they went to this fixture, now they know why they are known as the scum1 -
Can see us being held back at the Den because of these pockets of trouble even though they sound like they’re down to poor deployment of plod0

Appalling crowd control. Police horses charging about dangerously, some mounted Police after the game with batons drawn. 20k plus of Charlton fans corralled down roads where traffic was still being allowed to drive.
Chaotic organisation and totally over the top.

Clubs got to be stronger in the future and place even harsher constraints on Millwalls allocation or relocate them to an area where their Jolly Boys outing isnt placed above majoritys home supports welfare. If it had been decided and released to the public two weeks ago, it would still have been a monumentally stupid and offensive decision, and the pond-life would still have broken down the Lansdowne Mews gates to cause trouble in the one area that plod in their stupidity thought there was no need to cover (I exited that way). So the question is why did the senior police officer who made this decision, do so? What was his rationale for it? How does he explain it given that it virtually never happens this way at any other ground? And why were there no police around Lansdowne Mews?
They are at Palace on Wednesday. I am very curious as to how that police unit handles them.1 -

Millwall fans should be mollycoddled and we should be accepting of their behaviour.

Quite possibly you are right. It feels like the club tried to bury the news and not highlight it which was a poor choice if the ‘experts’ decided that routing was needed for safety reasons.
