I was four rows in front of that box. A load of aggressive wankers giving it the big un to the hardcore ultras of Curbs E block. How the hell is that allowed to happen?killerandflash said:
Plus a box full of Millwall fans right behind me. It got nasty when they scored, but no steward support or police came.oohaahmortimer said:
Scum just accidentally going out the wrong exit .
And when they went through the gate to confront Charlton supporters exiting the Curbs stand, barely a steward and again no police.
Plenty of police standing in front of the police box doing nothing though.4 -
What are you interrogating him for? He said that he was in a Costa with his parents having a coffee and witnessed it from there.valleynick66 said:
Question. Why were you there to witness that and not walk down Harvey Gardens as requested? I exited the West Stand and it was clear you couldn’t use the normal gate by the shop.sam3110 said:
All too busy arguing with people in wheelchairs and on crutches that they need to go the long way or wait half an hour for them to reopen Floyd Road!TootingRedArmy said:Well that went to plan, just two stewards on the gate between Jimmy Seed stand and East Stand. Punches thrown between the fence, stuff thrown by both fans. Then Millwall fans forced the gate and a few fights broke up going up the steps. One Charlton fan shouted "this is a family stand". All the planning, where were stewards and police on this section of the stadium to stop this flash point.
Lets face it many deliberately went the wrong’ way and of course some didn’t know because of the poor comms by the club. Its the most senior police officer responsible for this shambles you should be interrogating. I won’t get my hopes up for that, of course.4 -
Half a box of scum in west stand as well more mouthy than you should be , my sister had them behind just too gobby
I know I don’t have anything to cheer about when at zampa Road but at least I shut up in mates scum box .
Millwall mate said as he went in close to kick off a load of millwall just bundled and they opened the gates ….
on the other side of the coin there was an old millwall fella walking down the street and some Charlton young fucktards started giving it to him ffs (my nephew saw this)
my kids were young last time they went to this fixture, now they know why they are known as the scum1 -
Can see us being held back at the Den because of these pockets of trouble even though they sound like they’re down to poor deployment of plod0
-
Appalling crowd control. Police horses charging about dangerously, some mounted Police after the game with batons drawn. 20k plus of Charlton fans corralled down roads where traffic was still being allowed to drive.
Chaotic organisation and totally over the top.

Honestly think the old bill like a bit of trouble….gets the adrenaline pumping….i remember a particular officer in the 80s who used to relish it…he had it in for the Welling skins in particular0

Because my mum and dad are limited in mobility and have a blue badge, so were entitled to go that way as per the instructions.valleynick66 said:

Clubs got to be stronger in the future and place even harsher constraints on Millwalls allocation or relocate them to an area where their Jolly Boys outing isnt placed above majoritys home supports welfare. They gotta ask themselves whther 3k of scum money is worth it when they piss off so many of their regular paying customers,PragueAddick said:

It doesn’t help when we have those exacerbating the situation. The question I think we should know the answer to is when the club knew of the decision in light of the late notice to fans.0 -

It doesn’t help when we have those exacerbating the situation. The question I think we should know the answer to is when the club knew of the decision in light of the late notice to fans. But that is not the question. If it had been decided and released to the public two weeks ago, it would still have been a monumentally stupid and offensive decision, and the pond-life would still have broken down the Lansdowne Mews gates to cause trouble in the one area that plod in their stupidity thought there was no need to cover (I exited that way). So the question is why did the senior police officer who made this decision, do so? What was his rationale for it? How does he explain it given that it virtually never happens this way at any other ground? And why were there no police around Lansdowne Mews?
They are at Palace on Wednesday. I am very curious as to how that police unit handles them.1 -
No way was this the club's fault. The police overruled the suggested arrangements and are fully responsible for everything that occurred.Hartleypete said:Whoever is in control of safety at the valley is a c**t of the highest order.9 -

Millwall fans should be mollycoddled and we should be accepting of their behaviour.
Police make things so much worse but we should just be obliging to their nonsensical decisions and of course god forbid if some people have a gripe with any of that.7 -
Quite possibly you are right. It feels like the club tried to bury the news and not highlight it which was a poor choice if the ‘experts’ decided that routing was needed for safety reasons. Don’t see how you can conclude it’s a necessary change to make and then not communicate it more.JohnnyH2 said:

We have troublemakers too sometimes.0 -

But surely the club have to then let supporters know of the changes to the normal matchday processes. Seems so odd that they didn't then you have to question whykillerjerrylee said:

You can get out that way - there are even old ticket booths up there ..1

Millwall fan in the East Stand deserved a thumping. Don’t think he’d be so brave doing that in the Covered End3

Was there much trouble? I'm not reading mass issues at the station so by and large the police restrictions probably worked as they intended4

Laddick01 said:Same as the above, almost felt like the police fancied a bit of agro themselves today. Trying to drive 7 vans through the place you’ve lined the Charlton fans up was moronic.
Has to be a better solution next year.@charltonnick I take back my earlier post to you, after this shambles the only solution is to make it home fans only. The club cannot come out of this unscathed and they must accept the blame for a lack of organisation to a great degree.Imagine what would have happened if they had lost!0 -
The league wont allow that. You can reduce the number of tickets you give themElfsborgAddick said:Laddick01 said:Same as the above, almost felt like the police fancied a bit of agro themselves today. Trying to drive 7 vans through the place you’ve lined the Charlton fans up was moronic.

If last minute what happened to make that a needed decision? What changed in the week to make that a necessity ? I can’t immediately think of a reason.
Lansdowne Mews I’d hazard a guess is just a cock up in that no one thought of that happening as we never see away fans trying to leave that way.0
