Believe they shut Charlton Lane northbound in 2014, not realising you could also get to the level crossing via Coxmount. The level crossing is also a pinch point.
Well, they are technically correct 'we will not be holding back home fans like what happened in 2017'. They just plan to make us walk 20 minutes out of our way. Always need to be careful with these comms teams twisting the truth to fit their narrative.

Presumably you can walk up and purchase if you are on the CAFC database, but can’t think many would fall into that category for a game like tomorrow’s.
As to reduced prices towards the Jimmy Seed. I think the club should try that in both east and west - in an effort to increase overall attendances and to encourage more of our fans to congregate towards that goal.
May not work, but needs a longer pilot period than one game v Millwall.
@Weegie Addick@castrust would you proactively ask the club about the policing arrangements for after the game? Head them off at the pass before the final pre-match meeting of all the "relevant authorities"?

Here is the full response from club SLO:
“I have spoken to the relevant people at the club who want to assure you that we will not be holding back home fans like what happened in 2017. This was done for a serious matter, but we will not be doing this again. The club are working closely with the police who are working externally during the event.
Despite ownership changes, rest assured that all club staff are aware of the issues this fixture has caused in the past. The staff that work for the club full-time, and on matchdays, are all well-versed in how best to approach and work this game.
I hope that this helps solve any concerns. Ultimately, any out of the ordinary decisions that are made around the day, will only come from external recommendations of the police, but we are all working hard to ensure that the Millwall game is enjoyable and safe for all fans.”
Do we know if anyone from the Trust has followed up on this? Would be good to know why history seems to be repeating itself and what the serious matter* is this time.

Surely at least 50% of non-train foot passenger also go towards Charlton church lane? I park over that way and it’s going to take 15-20 mins longer to loop round.

Looks like another one went this morning and the rest of today should probably see more blocks shaded out and just leaving those far southern end ones and a few solitary seats in the middle for any walk ups tomorrow. A final gate number of 25k looks likely is my guess unless there is a big old school walk up tomorrow morning.which, given it is Charlton v Millwall, probably shouldn’t be ruled out.
What happens with the walk ups then? Assume you still have to show a buying history?
Just check your knuckles. If they've been scraped along the ground, you don't get to buy a ticket.

I wonder if it does save money, its impossible to know as this info won't be made available? Closing the AWAY exit and keeping them in for an hour means that stewards which are employed in rest of the ground could be allocated to away end as Charlton fans leave and surely there is CCTV, Police spotters, police, stewards etc to deal with any potential misbehaviour and if Milwall fans did cause damage to Jimmy Seed then Millwall club surely pay for it? It also delays some of the Millwall fans from heading into central London for the Tommy Robinson march....How many clubs in Championship give Millwall fans priority over the Home fans? I would imagine millwall are routinely kept in the away end as streets are cleared?
