"After consultation with the club, Charlton fans have been advised to shit at home before arriving at the Valley as the toilet cubicles in each area of the ground have been reserved for Millwall supporters who fancy a fag/ line during the game. Your cooperation is appreciated and CAST will be laying on slop buckets for any home fans that may be caught short".

The Red Robin said:So if you get to Charlton station at 11:30am, you’ve got quite the trek to get into The Valley.2

What if the Millwall fans just refuse to leave the train station? Are they just going to hold it hostage so we can’t use it? No way are the police going to risk forcing them onto trains. This all just sounds like a recipe for disaster - making things far worse not better imo.2

I believe there is a MAJOR anti immigration march taking place in central London tomorrow and trouble is expected.
O B will be very stretched and I suppose keeping the fans as far apart as they can, for as long as they can is a way of ensuring that there is as little trouble as possible.
Arsenal, Palace, Fulham (v Leeds), West Ham (v Spurs) and Brentford are all at home tomorrow, busy time for O B
I wouldn't be surprised to see Essex, Surrey, Kent etc. Police patrolling London tomorrow2 -

We are driving up from Dorset instead of our usual train journey and have booked parking east of the ground.
I still feel pig throwing levels of anger about it though1 -

Suddenly it's turning into the Taking of Pelham 123 rather than a local football Derby in 2025.
It's a few thousand football supporters from bermondsey and Bexleyheath not Ghengis Khan riding in with his troops to lay siege on Charlton village.17 -

With the clubs response to the Trust weeks which did not appear to come from anyone senior nor with the correct information it always looked like the Police would revert to the tactics they used before as the crowd for Saturday will be bigger and the clubs current SMT although seems better than some of the previous people, would not know the specific historical issues.
People closer to the club as Trust/Advisors should have seen this, as this sort of thing happens to us and a lot and we the supporters have to suffer the consequences6 -
seriously though, what about those of us who need to go up Charlton Church Lane ?5

Millwall will have an away support of 3,000 season ticket holding , high loyalty points , fans. I think we can be fairly sure their bark is worse than their bite. They will be noisy and threatening, but these are largely kittens not Lions. They will be plastic Hoolies, who on the whole haven’t thrown a punch since year 10 at school. They are not the hordes of Gengis Khan, so let’s not big them up.

Gribbo said:Be interested to know how many people leaving on a normal matchday make their way via Floyd Road or through Ransom Walk, as opposed to going up Harvey? Because it’s going to be the full complement of home fans heading up Harvey Gardens, with a large portion then walking down Charlton Lane, across the live level crossing, and navigating the pavement along the main road. Inevitably, people will spill onto the roadway, which will not only increase congestion but also heighten the risk of an accident - all for the sake of avoiding what has always been done: holding the away fans back for 20 minutes or so.The corner where the anti is will have people all over the road as there will not just be people heading to the station but everyone that usually walks along the lower road towards the angerstien, whether they usually go via ransom walk or Floyd road way, will be forced that way. There will be a balls up just as there was last time when they blocked turning left from Harvey gardens towards the level crossing not realising people just continued ahead into Coxmount, Hasted and Pound Park and came out behind the ‘block’ by the level crossing after a 2 minute detour.3

Spoke to one of the directors about this who said that it was out of the club's hands and a police decision they weren't happy about.
Police rationale was if the Spanners were kept in they'd smash the place up and/or fight the old bill.
In case you want to let the crowd go the museum will be open after the game.10 -

"After consultation with the club, Charlton fans are politely requested to not pull the lions tail tomorrow. Any witnessed tail pulling, tugging, heaving, lugging, yanking, twisting of said tails will result in revocation of club membership and season tickets.
Charlton fans are also advised to keep crowd noise to a minimum to avoid any such pulling of tails and Addick's manager Nathan Jones has briefed the team not to do anything on the pitch that may be determined as "tail pulling-esque" including scoring goals, making tackles or daring to make eye contact with our guests at corners".4 -
