Radio Stations - a bit of a rant

  • Have listened to Radio Caroline since it's 'pirate' days and still listening. I pretty sure they don't have playlists, DJs play what they want. Never heard the same song twice in a day. 9am to 10am is a listeners top 15 every day. On internet radio.

I'm looking for a new music station to have on in the car. I usually have Radio X on as I like the sort of Indie and Rock that they play, but I'm sick to death of their restricted play list and need more variety. A lot of my friends listen to Radio 6 but much of their stuff is too twee and dull for me. Anyone got any suggestions?
If you’ve got Bluetooth just play your own music.
That reminds me. When Mp3 players were new, I got an Ebay one and filled it up with all my absolute favourite music.
It was a fulfillment of all my dreams!!! (well, except for that one...)

Never been so bored in my life...

Can't listen to Radio X because I find Moyles and, especially, Johnny Vaughan intensely annoying. I've recently started listening to Planet Rock, which I rather like. Only problem I have is that they play a lot of blues. I don't particularly mind blues music but when I choose a station called Planet Rock, it's because I want to listen to rock, not blues.
    This.
Moyles and Vaughan are two of the most annoying people I've ever heard.
  • The Soul of London radio station seems to have stopped broadcasting on 97.1fm so having an old motor, can’t listen to it when in my car.
Anybody who can recommend an fm station in London who focus on 80s soul/funk, much appreciated.
I've found a Station called Mi-Soul that I like. Might be worth a try.
