Codes have only been sent out to 120% capacity of the venue, so roughly 96K codes, 80k tickets available.  Them good odds.

Well done to all those lucky enough.  We had 12 trying, 1 got a code.  This will put friendships to the test
  • I’m torn between the fact that I’ve seen them loads paid my dues and demand a ticket or perhaps people that have never seen them get to.

    Let me think.

If 96k codes get sent out and all of them want 4 tkts, the odds aren't that good at all! (or is my maths shite?)

You are correct, my maths is also shite and also not clear therefore from the T&C what 120% capacity means (did they take an average number of tickets? Max number of possible tickets?)

My overriding point remains, very limited tickets sent out, means that those with a code have a very good chance of securing tickets.
  • Edit: does not answer my question above, but some interesting stats on success rates:https://radiohead-presale-analysis-lmm1.vercel.app/

Unsurprisingly, London was by far the most requested venue, Copenhagen had a 71% success rate of receiving a code, London 31%

In practice, many people will want just 2 though.

That is not my experience.  I would say a large proprotion are taking the 4 max and have friends / acquaintances who would die for a ticket.

Reading and thinking about it more, it seems logical that it is 120% of venues capacity / 4 (so in the case of the o2 96k / 4 = 24k codes) as that means that if some take 2/3 tickets, the 20% kick in to fill the remainder.  They have also said they will release more codes if there is still availability.

The people with codes have a high probability of securing tickets.

I really do hope so, as I haven't seen them in years... I got lucky with The Cure at Troxy last year, so hoping for repeated success with 'hard to get' tkts this year too....

  • Three of us registered and only I managed to get a code for the privilege of buying a ticket. Am going to give it my best shot, but sceptical as to whether I'll manage to get any.
  • keep getting timeout error, so can't even join the queue.....
  • Lucky enough I got an unlock code, made it eventually to the waiting lobby at 9:45, straight into a queue at 10am (thinking to myself this is going well) 10:10 I get timed out, retry and same thing keeps happening. Presumed sold out for that day… oh well at least I’ll be at the valley that weekend to numb the pain !!
  • One of my group of three mates trying secured an offer for Madrid - we were up for it, he went in to buy but the site crashed just as he was taking the payment step. Went back in and tix had gone. Effing stupid system, band and organisers will get grief if this has happened a lot.
  • Same happened to me, tried multiple times and got kicked out for different reasons, finally timed out. Looking at comments online about the ticketing site, I’m wondering if anyone at all made it to the point where they could actually pay for tickets!
  • Friend got our tickets, but he is very technical and had to try multiple times. AXS ticket platform is a joke and caused all the issues.  It does seem strange so many failed to get tickets and now sold out if codes only = 120% of available capacity.  No worries though, buy one of the 48 pairs of tickets available on Viagogo for Saturday night for at least double (if not triple) the price..... Not sure the system did what it was supposed to.

I've been trying in vain to get Coldplay tickets for mainly my young son over the past couple of months. I came close to using Viagogo and the like but heard some horror stories of people turning up to Wembley with their tickets only to realise they'd already been sold when they tried to scan them through.
I had another look this morning. But £300 + to watch Coldplay!
    No thank you
I wouldn't mind, but the seats were in a stand actually behind the stage!

Modern technology for getting bookings from concert tickets to driving tests is so open to manipulation it's criminal
