It’s basically just Email Simulator. I love it. Been playing it for years. Glad women are in the game now, hopefully it will attract new players
My partner doesn’t understand the appeal because in her eyes it’s just moving my focus from one database (work) to another (FM). Quite hard to disagree but it’s great

Think a lot of us would be fired from our jobs if we took the same risks in real life that we do on football manager
Who's this for though? I don't want any of this. I don't care if there's a shiny match engine, I don't even use the 3D match engine anymore because the actually interesting thing is putting together a new squad, developing young players, taking a club up through the divisions and reloading if you don't beat Crystal Palace. I'm concerned that my potato laptop isn't going to have the specs to run FM26 without catching fire and even if it does they'll have spent two years painstakingly getting the advertising hoardings right instead of improving the things that make FM24 maddening. Is the AI still unable to handle squad building after the first few years? Do players still demand £300k a week from you and then go to another club for £40k a week instead? Are all player interactions still insane dice rolls written by a man who's never not ended a conversation with an argument? That's the stuff I'm interested in, I want the actual management part to run better, not the stick figures running around to be more convincing. I guess we'll see what they've been up to soon.
I still play FM13 and have the same issues! Also can't build a decent youth set up and international management just seems like a waste of time bar the tournaments.
The last version I bought was FM21, so thought I'd have a quick look on steam, to see how much I can get 24 for, as 26 is due out soon. They're still wanting £45 for it.
Love the look of the match screen in between highlights. Do find it funny that they’ve improved the graphics and audio loads but the crowd still look like cardboard cut outs though

If they upgraded the fans in the stadium and the audio it would make such a difference to the game. Feel like they're missing a trick there.
