Sponsor merges with neighbour.

One of the Charlton sponsors, the University of Greenwich, is to merge with the University of Kent.
I suppose with the rise of the internet it might be practical.

What next though? Charlton and Millwall merge?
The kit, white shorts to honour Millwall, red shirts to honour Charlton.
They were historically’Millwall Athletic’ so the new club retains ‘Athletic’ to honour Millwall, and Charlton Athletic are honoured by retaining ‘Charlton’.
Millwall’s ground is called ‘The Den’, Charltons ‘The Valley’, so keep ‘The’ to honour Millwall and ‘Valley’ to honour Charlton.
The new club plays at the stadium with the larger capacity, so that would be in SE7.

Could happen elsewhere, Bristol Rovers and City, Liverpool and Everton, Blackburn and Burnley, Arsenal and Barnet, Tottenham Hotspur and Harringay Borough, Crystal Palace and Sutton…where might it all end?

If it's Millwall you're talking about, 'Kent' doesn't account for the Great Vowel Shift.
  • You can take the Millwall out of Kent, but you...
  • I think a merger between Charlton and Millwall would be a great way to show unity and togetherness between the two sides, we could play at the Valley, wear red and white, and be called: "Charlton Athletic"
  • University of Greenwich have been dead to me since they teamed up with Palace anyway

Supporting Charlton would be a lot less pleasant without our dickhead filter
