There is so much wrong with this
From the sack of excrement who took an absolute liberty by sharing a video of a bloke doing his job to the maggots who then amplified this shitbox behaviour by sharing it far and wide be that conventional media or any individual sharing it.
It wasn't that long ago delivery drivers were rightly seen as a pretty crucial spine of the country, few people will have actually said the words "I'm looking down my nose at this person" but thats exactly what they are doing. Its a rancid relatively recent thing that has somehow become accepted. Many years ago I launched some walking mooncups phone down Blackfriars Road as they were videoing some poor person having a seizure. I could not believe they were doing it and they are in the same category as the toad who shared this video.

David Coote made a bad mistakes in choosing friends as well as putting himself in a position which cost him his job as an elite referee.
Being a referee you must have a thick skin or you just couldn't do the job
I admire him for getting a job as some people would've looked for the sympathy vote and cited Mental health issues and gone down the benefits road.
In life most people makes mistakes but don't have the high profile job that anyone else cares about.
Coote definitely did but he didn't kill anyone and deserves another chance in a new career or any job to pay his bills.
It's will be impossible for Coote to be a whistle blower even if he was allowed at grass roots level because of the level of abusive comments he would get.

Can imagine it being quite liberating for the bloke, having moderately less pressure in your work. And a least he ain't got to answer to anyone if he does fancy a bit of a blow out at the end on the month1

In an ideal world, like a game of snakes and ladders, Coote would be able to become a born again ref at the grass or plastic roots in the football pyramid and whistle his way back up a few rungs of the football ladder.
The problem is, the individual abuse in a crowd of a few hundred can be heard loud and clear and Coote has left himself open for the worse abuse:
Gay, drugs, gambling, etc.
Too many loud people would go for the Jugular.

Hang the c*** if guilty.4

Probably shouldn't have let him just live his life then.
Did think when the FA dropped him there might be more to come beyond what was reported.
Needs to be looked at, who knew what when?1 -

Needs to be looked at, who knew what when? The report says the video file in question was recovered in February - he was sacked by PGMOL in December 24.No surprise that no other comments were made as it would/could have jeopardised the police investigation.1 - Sponsored links:

Given that he's been charged, contempt of court provisions now kick in, so probably best to close the thread for now, and revisit once the case has gone to court11
