  • I read there are some odd choices tuchel made for the squad tonight.

    I can't locate it.

    Anyone know?

I assume we have another game tuesday/Wednesday

Yeah we're at Serbia on Tuesday night.

Can England's world Cup qualifiers get renamed "walk in the park"

The nations league is actually quite important....even if not very interesting.

We get to play against competitive opposition so big tournaments won't be such a shock for us.

Getting closer and closer to drawing The Goodwin Sands in round 1...

Will need to add a few more hosts to that if it happens
The more you dilute, the less tasty it becomes. In Argentina they put ice in their wine.

England at Villa Park, Coldplay at Wembley.

Just about sums up my thoughts on England’s chances with another dumbarse decision of a foreign manager.

    Is ice in prosecco ok?
  • Put it in you what you want but it will decrease the quality of any alcoholic drink, just as adding more teams is going to do.
  • The rate we're going out everybody will qualify for the final.
  • When did Englands team become so average all of a sudden. Seems a blink of an eye ago we were talking about a golden generation that on paper looked eye wateringly good.

Now we have Elliot Anderso, Dan Burn, Marcus Rashford and Noni Madueke to look forward to.

I presume come the World Cup, Saka, Palmer, Bellingham etc will all be fit again

  • The training game we all thought it would be. Anderson looks very good tho.
  • Did anyone else see the Charlton jumper in the crowd just then?
  • Usual snoozefest
  • We just move the ball so slowly.
  • England are poop
  • We just move the ball so slowly.
….and when we speed up the delivery….

  • Tuesday is the first test he’ll have

Thought I’d throw a bit of politics into this.
Grim experience being in the Holte End and listening to non stop chants about Starmer. It's boring
  • I’d argue now that we actually have more depth than we ever have. So many names around the squad that are doing it at a high level every week (Rodgers, Gibbs White etc.)

When the squad is at full strength, it should give any team in the world a game.

  • What a crock of boring shit

    We’re playing a f******* ski resort ffs

No attacking prowess, just passing it backwards and forwards in the final third against a team that are ranked so low that you have to scroll to the bottom of the FIFA rankings. Their players play at 6th tier football clubs.

Southgate’s football may have been boring because he was defensive. Tuchel’s is boring because he wants to attack but doesn’t know how to do it.

Southgate didn’t win anything but put us in 2 semi finals and one final. Tuchel out now otherwise we’ll get 2nd round in 2026 at the very best.

  • Thought the subs did well. My problem is Tuchel has had 5 games now and we’ve looked average at best in all of them. I do think he might show his worth in later stages of major tournaments like he did with Chelsea.

I was thinking how you could get the "minnows" to actually want to go forward rather than have 11 players behind the ball.

Like limited overs cricket (50 and 20 over matches) I wonder if there should he a rule that you have to keep 2 players inside the centre circle at all times. Or draw a line 50 yards from goal and only 8 players are allowed behind it.
  • Andorra have made a habit of only losing 2/3-0 by refusing to put anyone ahead of the ball. Some of it is down to the quality of opponents but they haven’t conceded 4+ since 2023. These results don’t happen in a vacuum

Maybe the other teams were making the same mistake of not testing them enough.

My daughter was surprised that I was shouting at them angrily. I said to her that all they need to do is get the ball into the box and put them under real pressure.  Almost as soon as I said it we finally put a decent cross in and got the second goal.

I really believe that if we had got at them properly we would have scored 7 or 8. They are a bunch of Conference South players, at best.

We might draw with Serbia twice and it come down to goal difference.

Hopefully we get a proper British manager in for the England job and Nigel in at Number 10 next year
    All Nigels are w*****s.

Edit: British!? Not English? So you’d be happy with a bloody Welshman or Scot f*****g us over instead?

No, you just didn’t like hearing how much hatred there is of your hero.
