    Personally I’d prefer them to stay up, just as long as we do too.
    The only reason for this is that they are likely to be even weaker next year, while we are likely to strengthen.
    Selfish reasons, but that’s where I’m at.

    Personally not too bothered if they stay up or go down, all I care about is us. If Wednesday stay up and we go down, we'll deserve it.

    Not sure about ’deserve’ it. The disparity in recent TV income between  promoted teams and those already there hardly makes it fair. Do others ’deserve ’ to stay up above us by a small margin when they’ve had so much more TV money? Football accolades are no longer won on effort, good strategic planning, good on field tactics, hard work etc alone.

    Of course I'd not want them to stay up at the expense of us.

    I have a few mates who follow Wednesday and always have a cracking time up there.  

    A terrific ground as well.

    I hope they stay up.

    When do EFL typically announce points deductions? Sheff Weds and Leicester defo reported as facing them but as per nothing announced until season in play.

    When weds are firmly rooted to the bottom of the league with no hope of survival, only then will they have points deducted. It seems to me they are untouchable.

    They’re going down. Their team is crap, their squad is paper thin and their owner is a complete basket case. They’ve got spirit and a passionate manager which will get you so far for so long but they’ll get found out soon enough.     Their 1st 11 isn't bad, but they've got no depth at all, so will get worse as injuries and fatigue takes it toll.

    "Dejphon Chansiri is in talks with foreign investors to bail him out at Sheffield Wednesday. Chansiri has been abroad for weeks and raised funds for the last month’s payroll with outside help, and now he is close to bringing in larger sums to prop up the ailing Championship club.

    There have been many interested parties in buying the Owls but the asking price has put them off. Chansiri has ignored cries for his exit and wants to source the extra cash himself. Any deal would have to be secured by the lender and that may be taken out against the ground or other assets. Meanwhile the Owls have been looking to bring in new staff despite all of the takeover talk and is another sign Chansiri plans to ignore public opinion."

    Apparently only around 3,500 home fans at their game last night, vastly outnumbered by 6k Grimsby.

    Seen a few of their fans arguing over whether to protest at their home league game v Sheff utd. One side arguing that as a live tv game it's a great chance to boycott and gain wider public attention, others are arguing they can't boycott a derby game and if home fans don't go, Chansiri will probably just sell thousands of tickets to United fans.

    True but a lot of their fanbase seem pretty happy at them going out, as a big away PL tie in the next round would've potentially given Chansiri upwards of an extra million in revenue.

    As it's a live TV game the beach ball and flying pig approach will go down well (other small - and soft/safe - projectiles are available).

    Do they have a pitch-side sofa to eviscerate?
