I love TC, but there may be a bit of fatigue there.
Start Kelman to tire their defence and then bring TC at 60 mins.3 -

Think the first 20 mins will be massive we need to keep it tight not worry to much about attacking but keeping the score at 0-0 then try and get ourselves into the game and play in their half for the last 15 mins or so , if we could snatch a goal the crowd will turn very quickly .. second half we come out like we did at Bristol and last week and can see us not only drawing but even snatching 3points …. But all depends on first 20 if QPR score it could be a very tough game ..
As far as team selection Kelman showed a lot of good things on Tuesday and could have had a couple of goals he has to start against his former club .. he not going to break his duck sitting on the bench, but who does he replace Leaburn or Campbell, surely if Campbell survives again this has to be his last chance to perform…
My head says cert draw …. My heart says sneaky win ?

I also would quite like to see us start a game with Leaburn and Kelman as the two strikers. I know our playstyle is based on TC being a second striker who drifts out to the left to form a 4-2-3-1 in attack, but plenty of successful sides operate with an exclusive 3-5-2.
While we will lose some width, I would be interested to see how it works. Kelman needs a chance to show what he can do, and I just don't see it in him to lead the line by himself.0 -
QPR will surely turn up for this one after the annihilation by Coventry. Hopefully our Coventry can hold things tight in the mid!
Still, I feel we've got enough at the back to keep the worst out. Hoping we've got what it takes up front. I'd love to see Olaofe and Leaburn start, since Kelman hasn't got his ducks in a row, but QPR would be the typical place for him to open his account in red.

A QPR poster on their forum is suggesting a 10-0-0 formation with a trench dug along the half way line, so it’s fair to say they’re not optimistic.14

We conceded a worldy to lose the game last week and I think that from goalkeeper to midfield, Jones is satisfied, the front two is certainly fluid. A better performance by Kelman on Tueday but a non-descript performance by Olaofe has not made selection of the front two any clearer. I thought Leaburn played well last week without having clear cut chances, Campbell did have that header which he sent over, I think Jones will retain both but if the goals don't come then he will have to tinker with it eventually. It's a draw for me as QPR will tighten up after being embarrassed at Coventry and we are not fluid enough, yet, to overcome that.2

They are all over the place as a team, in the way they play, and mood of the club, and are there for the taking, you don't just bounce back from a 7-1, and I think we'll win.2

Kelman in for TC for me. Leaburn to start too, a little large combo up front, with Leaburn's ability to pick a pass too. TC to come on and stretch the play after 60 mins. TC's goal return wasn't great last season, for the position he plays. NJ needs to find the formula quickly up front, the longer we lack goals, the bigger the mountain to climb to start banging them in.8

Finding every match difficult to predict but I think it’s been a good start to the season so far with us being very unlucky against Leicester. My prediction is a hard fought 1-0 win but i would happily take a draw!
But, our system works better with him in that role. He’s better than Olaofe at drifting out to the left, and having him and Apter on either flank is so crucial to us. If either are up against 2 players then we work the ball to the other side so the other is then in a 1v1. Taking Campbell out makes us a worse team, but at some point he needs a break. I would start him on Saturday but please don’t make him play the full game again2 -
I would start Leaburn and Tanto they did play well together when they started. Then bring TC and Kelman on after the usual 70 mins when Tanto and Leaburn have bashed them up a bit2

- QPR are unbeaten across their last six home league games against Charlton Athletic (W4 D2) since a 4-2 defeat in October 1997 in the second tier.
- This will be the first league meeting between Charlton Athletic and QPR since a 1-0 win for the Addicks in June 2020. Overall, Charlton have won three of their last five head-to-head league clashes with their London counterparts (D1 L1).
- Last weekend, QPR were defeated 7-1 by Coventry, the 12th time that they’ve conceded 5+ goals in a Championship match since the EFL rebrand in 2004 – only Barnsley (17) and Huddersfield (13) have suffered that fate on more occasions in this time in the division.
- Charlton have scored the joint-fewest goals in the Championship this season (1), with this the first time the Addicks have scored one or fewer goals through their opening three league games of a campaign since 1970-71 (also 1).
- Charlton have lost just one of their last eight league London derbies (W5 D2), though did lose their last in the second tier 2-1 against Brentford in July 2020.

I can forgive player's lack of form if they put in the effort, However on Tuesday it seemed to me that they both lacked interest in the game as well as showing little effort0 -

He gets double/triple pressed by defenders, has not had goals or assists since the season started to boost his confidence, has had lots of minutes while expected to be creative, started all three league games with 1W 1D 1L.
Being on the bench for a bit might relight his fire.0 -

Don't think it'll be easy, but a battling 0-1 to the Addicks.1

Whilst Leaburn and Kelman probably works well from an attacking perspective, neither do the pressing job that TC or Olaofe do. They also won't do the peeling out wide and effectively being a left winger. So, it could work but would have wider implications for the team. After Tuesday, I really can't see anything other than TC and Leaburn starting, with Olaofe and Kelman coming on.1

I know they don't have the same role, but analysts know how to neutralise TC when he starts, so a bit of uncertainty would help.0 -
