  • Only half time, still time for 8 Rangers penalties

Must be hard now to win the major European trophy only One Scottish club has won. Plus not many English teams.

Six English teams (more than any other nation) have won it a total of 15 times. Not too shabby is it?

    6 that's brilliant stuff isn't it.

    Only if there’s a Scottish ref 🤝

  • Martin is turning out to be an absolute disaster appointment. He's so tactically inflexible and married to his philosophy to a fault, also doesn't seem to come across very well in the media either.

Won't be in a job this time tomorrow.

Won't have won a single league game.
  • Apologies to the Rangers fans on here, but this is so funny. Little old Brugge.

They’re still little old Brugge. It’s not their fault that Scottish football is shit.

At least the hordes that would have travelled over would have been able to drown their sorrows in style!

Brugge reached the last 16 of the champions league last season, beating sides like Villa, Sporting and Atalanta. Belgian league is also a lot more highly ranked compared to Scotland (8th to 17th).

That said, Russell Martin has still been a disaster though. There's a strong chance he won't be there after the international break if they lose this weekend as it looks like every single Rangers fan has already given up on him. His tactics and team selection have been so poor.
  • Watching the game last night and Ally McMoist and the commentators were scathing of Rangers, their recruitment especially  but also their  tactics, style of play and commitment.

They also criticised the Scottish bubble that, as they said, means whoever wins the Old Firm game on Sunday will likely view things as being alright despite the two defeats in Europe this week.

The Celtic board will use the defeat, IMHO, as an excuse to not spend more money while the Rangers board will hang on to Martin until November at which point an "Ibrox legend" will come in to appease the fans who will get a dead cat bounce but no lasting improvement.

Meanwhile Hearts under Tony Bloom will get stronger.

I don't remember the little old Brugge when they knocked out Aston Villa?

    Brightons Tony Bloom?

  • Never knew that. And if I had probably would've stuck a score on them!
Clever man is Bloom. And I don't think it will take much to out fox the current showers of shyte running the show.
  • Didn't realise he had a stake in Hearts - yeah can see them doing well.

Brugge may well be half decent, but there's a difference between losing to them and losing 9-1 on aggregate and them going easy on you as they are 6-0 up just after half time.
I only tuned in when it was 6. Blame me for it not being much higher. But I did enjoy it.
  • Little old Brugge will always be little old Brugge, no matter how many decent teams they beat. It’s a very small city with two clubs.

Lens takes the European crowd, unless someone can better it. Population of the city is 32k and RC Lens are a decent outfit, UEFA cup semi-finalist in 2000 with a ground with a 38k capacity. 😃
