  • West Brom set to sign CB Chris Mepham on a free.
  • Didn't Millwall want Caleb Taylor?

Suspect he will go there with the Tanganga money.

That wouldn't surprise me even if Milwallfan has been pretty steadfast for the whole summer that Tristan Crama will step up to replace Tanganga

We were after him according to some reports, yes. Not sure if there's any legs in it now, though. Could well be a possibility, so we'll see.

The thing with Crama is that he's looked very adept at right back when he's played. Very good defensively/positionally but also not shy in getting forward in the style of a wing back. Not the greatest end product (the cross for Neghli against Norwich aside) but does push the opposition winger/right mid further back than other options we have. Leonard isn't getting any younger and I'm not sure McNamara is up to the style of play we're trying to implement, when he's eventually fit again.

We also have Kamarl Grant who is getting minutes after a loan spell with Bromley last season. Very raw still, but hopeful he can stick around the first team squad and develop. Then there's Wes Harding who, if I'm completely honest, is a decent pro and will give everything, but not someone you want as a starter in the Championship.

All in all, I'd be surprised if we didn't sign a centre half before the window closes.

Yes. If we don’t sign a centre half then we certainly need to sign a RB, as Crama won’t be available for that position. It’s also worth remembering that Cooper isn’t getting any younger. Got a feeling Grant is being lined up as his replacement.

Oi you two !!! You are both welcome here to tell us team is shite but can we draw the line on discussing your team lol
Well the thread is titled ‘general championship transfer’. I think we come under that category 😁
  • Norwich selling Marcelino Nunez in a deal worth up to £10 million... to Ipswich  :#

Being replaced by Pelle Mattsson from Silkeborg that could rise to £3 million.

Where else are two reasonably articulate Millwall fans gonna discuss their team? If they did it on their own forum majority of the responses would be mostly swear words and grunts.
  • Well I’ll stand corrected and put aside my deep distain for that club. Sorry for only joining 2 months ago, not really sure what I can do about that.

I honestly felt the poster had been implying that because a couple of recent good deals had been done Esse(?) and Ivanovic they had turned into Brighton and lauding thier transfer genius, but each to their own.

The only thing that really matters is we finish above as it will mean we’ve stayed up.

  • I don't mind the Millwall fans that post on here at all, so much so that I am gonna give them a pass when they come to the Valley.

Agreed. It may surprise some but not all Millwall fans are bone headed, knuckle dragging wankers. One of my best mates who we lost to leukeumia aged just 30 was one of the nicest blokes you could ever wish to meet.

Haha cheers lads. I like to have a bit of banter but I try not to cross the line a come across as a pure wum. It isn’t our board after all but been here 13 years now so feel like part of the furniture 😁
  • I worked in Deptford when in my teens and most were Millwall fans as well as the Millwall captain at the time
They got a lot of pleasure by inviting me to the Old Den to watch us lose
Had no problem with any of them and became good friends with some

We’re back in for that Caleb Taylor apparently. For half the money that we got for Tanganga and 4 years younger.
