It seems a bit odd not to use this as opportunity to bed kelman and knibbs into the first team we would have beat these without getting out of first gear had we played the starting 11. It would build fitness for all. Disappointed with tonight.3

We may have tried Marcus, might not have found the right move.MarcusH26 said:
I know we've got incredibly picky with who we send loan players to and seem to have our favoured clubs almost now but I'd like to think we've got the feelers out with L2/ top of the NL that some of these players they'll be available for loan after tonight.ForeverAddickted said:
Might be one of a few reasons as to why Jones did what he did tonight. Especially with the Transfer Window about to close. Refuse to accept that there isn't a bigger picture going on here, and its not just a case of "Not giving a shit about the League Cup"MarcusH26 said:
Hopefully after this a few of the U21s can go and get National League loans and play regularly. Likes of Josh Laq,Enslin,Mbick and Mwamba could do with going and getting the experience under their belts.
Mbick is the one I really don't get why we seem so keen to keep him in house and not go and give him a loan until January at least somewhere.2 -
After 2 goals in all competitions, he's our top scorerSELR_addicks said:
Fullah two games two goals. Get him inCallumcafc said:
Or is it that they all get to play with Campbell?SELR_addicks said:
Campbell gets to play with Leaburn, Carey, Docherty, Edwards, etc.Callumcafc said:Crap evening all around but won’t matter if we get three points on Saturday.
And some people wanted TC dropped for one of the players on the pitch tonight.
Not really a like-for-like is it.

Where da f**k do you think you're going, you need to stick around for the meltdown and like it!!Callumcafc said:Well I would say it’s been fun but that would be a lie. See you all tomorrow.13 -
Jones should take full responsibility for this pathetic performance.3

Sky commentator actually showed a bit of knowledge tonight. He’s done okay.2

Age I think, young enough to learn a lot by training with the first team.MarcusH26 said:

Some of the older u21s are at the point after few seasons of u21 football they need a bigger challenge. We can’t loan them all out though, we need a big enough u21 squad.

What about the First Teamers who put in half hearted performances?Hartleypete said:Jones should take full responsibility for this pathetic performance.2 -
Shame he couldn't get names right though, all the other stuff is useless if you can't do the basics (no I'm not NJ)Algarveaddick said:Sky commentator actually showed a bit of knowledge tonight. He’s done okay.1 -

Been very disappointed with Tanto. He ought to be standing out in games like this, instead it's easy to assume he's one of the youngsters.1

Bloody hell, I can't remember that!ForeverAddickted said:
What about the FA Cup in 2018/19 when we rolled over and lost at the Valley in the Second Round against a team, that I've got a feeling, we went on to beat in the Play-Off Semi-Finals?Briston_Addick said:
To be fair, after going out in the first round of the League Cup last year it took us almost four months to kick-start our season.ForeverAddickted said:
Your whinging about winning breeding confidence blah blah blah, but we lost in the First Round at this stage of the competition last season, and it did us no harm.cafc4life said:
Not really sure what your point is?ForeverAddickted said:
But we lost in the First Round last season of this competition, and still got promoted?cafc4life said:Wins breed confidence, continues to build fitness and gives us an opportunity to get a decent tie in the next round and make a bit of money hopefully. For me this is a case of all eggs in one basket with no regard given for anything else.
Forgive me for wanting my team to be competitive, and looking to win every game.Maybe some on here are to used to the losers mentality we’ve been accustomed too in recent years that this is acceptable. As others have said, if we go and roll over to QPR on Saturday, tonight looks even more ridiculous.
What bit about that did you struggle with?
I couldn't tell you who we played in the cups that year, all I remember is beating Sunderland in the final.
Everything else is just haze. 😀1 -
Kelman hat-trick saturday will change that.Char1t0n said:

Another game to add to the pile of 'why can't we score?' These are the shots we've had.1 -
Anderson red card perfect way to finish the game off0
-
Red ffs0
-
And that just about caps it all off.
Never a red ffs !!1 -
Too many youngsters starting. I knew we were going to find that hard. Play a few and they can be carried through.1
-
That is a ludicrous red card6
-
Cross into the box, Anderson tries to take it down in the air, and gets a second yellow for catchng his man in the face.0
-
Icing on the crapcake0
-
Bloody hell what an end. Anderson sent off.
He got sent off when he played them in fa trophy0
