"Corner kick coming off the hand of Gough" that should be a free kick then, surely?

Not if it wasn't an offence under the handball law

Corner cleared, and out for a Cambridge throw on the far side.

Apart from a few bits from Fullah and Insulin no other player has offered anything.
At the end of the day Charlton, for whatever reason, didn’t put out a team that could win this game. Couldn’t win against Cambridge for first time in 32 years.
    Was April really 32-years ago?

Crap evening all around but won’t matter if we get three points on Saturday.

And some people wanted TC dropped for one of the players on the pitch tonight.
Campbell gets to play with Leaburn, Carey, Docherty, Edwards, etc.

Not really a like-for-like is it.
Or is it that they all get to play with Campbell?

Ref gives a free kick against Enslin presumably for handball after he got fouled. Lino get grief from our fans again.

    sung loud and proud!

Cross into the box grabbed by AMB. We try to go forward via Enslin but he's surrounded and loses the ball.

Ref has become incredibly inconsistent in the last 10 mins or so

Lots of skill in these lads but they're too easily muscled off the ball. Can't have a whole team of them or this happens

I know we haven't really deserved anything, but the ref's not given us much this half.

Cambridge take it to the corner, Tanto shoves him off the ball.

3-1 down in the last few minutes and the travelling Addicks still out singing the home side with a good VFR, respect one and all...

Good point! But of course that was a competitive team.

I’m aware of the opinion that we have to save our players for the Championship but I would feel extremely cheated paying out for travel and ticket costs with not knowing that NJ was going to play the youth team. I still feel cheated having lost 2 hours of my life watching this match.

What are Cambridge doing keeping it in the corner for?!

Hopefully after this a few of the U21s can go and get National League loans and play regularly. Likes of Josh Laq,Enslin,Mbick and Mwamba could do with going and getting the experience under their belts.
Might be one of a few reasons as to why Jones did what he did tonight. Especially with the Transfer Window about to close. Refuse to accept that there isn't a bigger picture going on here, and its not just a case of "Not giving a shit about the League Cup"
I know we've got incredibly picky with who we send loan players to and seem to have our favoured clubs almost now but I'd like to think we've got the feelers out with L2/ top of the NL that some of these players they'll be available for loan after tonight.

Mbick is the one I really don't get why we seem so keen to keep him in house and not go and give him a loan until January at least somewhere.

Ball into the box, keeper drops it, ref stops play as a Cambridge player is down.

Because NJ wants to be in complete control of his development. A loan too early can be just as damaging as a loan too late

Well I would say it’s been fun but that would be a lie. See you all tomorrow.
