Callum posted this yesterday and has been discussed on this thread all day.
unlike a bore like you I don't spend all day glued to CL, I have a life  :)
    What a charmer.
I think the correct response was ok thanks very much I hadn't bothered to look at any of the thread titles for the most recent posts.

Just a bit different to having a picture taken with Lee Bowyer at Sparrows Lane..!

Top man. What an experience.  Great seeing our youngsters moving abroad.

At least he's not playing for Pal@rse anymore!

Was that just for Gallagher or a number of new signings?
    Just Gallagher
It wasn't, they also unveiled Alvarez, Sorloth and Le Normand plus some signings for the womens team as well.

Memo - wear jeans. Fans more likely to buy if they see they can wear the shirt without having to be a full kit wanker.

We’re gonna get £180k as a solidarity contribution. Plus some extra as training compensation.

The No 17 didn't get the memo to not tuck the shirt in.

Apologies if this has been mentioned as just fleeting thru today, but somone told me we get 90k out of the deal. Never known that before, is this normal practice.

Yeah they are “solidarity payments” and have been mentioned in a few threads about other former players. It’s not very well known but I think it’s been in place for at least a few years, probably longer.

Scored his first La Liga goal
Very typical Gallagher goal as well, think he's going to do well there if he doesn't have too much culture shock

Helps being in Madrid tbh, and at the slightly less glamorous side of the city in Atletico

I'm genuinely so happy for the lad.

He wasn't one of our own, but he played every game like he was. I just loved watching him play and will always have a soft spot for him. Supremely talented and non-stop effort. They will love him at Athletico because he plays like Simeone.

Hope he continues to smash it in La Liga and the UCL.

Was hoping he'd go to Newcastle tbh. Would have fitted a Howe midfield with Tonali and Bruno G.

Surely he wouldn’t go back to Palace.

    He's a regular there isn't he?

Why on earth would he want to swap that for Palace?!

He comes off the bench quite a lot, assume in a WC year he wants to be starting games

If the best move his agent can get him is a return to the Stripey's then he needs a new agent! Imagine going from a top three club in Spain with regular CL football, to the Conference league with Palace!
