I'm pretty sure I'm not dyslexic, but trying to keep track of which Treacy or Tracey we're talking about at any given point is starting to make my head hurt.
I used to be dyslexic but I'm ko now
  • I hear that Brian Cole has also 'left his role' (or been replaced) .. are we getting TOOOO 'professional' ?
Yeah Big Dave is now on the mic full time, he confirmed this to me on X. Sad to see Brian go, he’s a great guy and I enjoyed his banter during the cross bar challenge.
  • I was a tad disappointed that no one from the SMT/other back room staff or NJ was in the official goodbye Tracey video.

No conspiracy from me just a missed opportunity to show us as a united, caring club. I’m sure Charlton are like this in the background, but it could’ve been a chance to show the fans how well Tracey is thought of by everyone at the club, not just the players.

Just because the club has been well run recently doesn’t exempt them from any criticism, however minor this is.

I’m going to miss Tracey, a true Charlton legend. I wish her all the best in the future. See you in the stands Trace!
Likely there were more than one and the players wanted their own one due to the relationship to Tracey . Bet she's had contact from lots of ex-players too

Agreed - wonder why he left but lets not start all that - i have no idea btw -  hope he is well
  • I hope Brian is well too. He also deserves a proper thank you.

  • Paid a visit there on the weekend of the Wrexham game.
hope you didn't have any problems getting away?!

She was by the tunnel and was coaxing the team to do the tunnel jump.  Would have loved to see a proper goodbye to her (but did not hear one on the day). Maybe she is still around for Leicester game?
The players did a presentation for her yesterday , but no Nathan , Rodwell which i think is appalling.  Wish Tracey Leaburn all the best , Charlton Legend
I think you’ve negated your own point there.

Shame , Nathan and Rodwell and co , weren't there . And yes I know she was there for the players . But 10 years service by a Lady that clearly loved her job and Charlton ,you would have thought they would have been there out of respect
Have you checked for reds under your bed lately?

Get a grip, she will be truly missed but come on now. Just because NJ, Rodwell et al didnt say goodbye on a camera doesnt mean they havent spoke to her.

Not to downplay what tracey has done at all and she has done so much but the club has to move on and im sure it will survive, just like it would if anyone else were to leave.

Id also go as far to suggest its disrespectful to tracey to continue peddling unsubstantiated rumours, as its leads to people to discuss tittle tattle instead of talking about how great of a servant to the club she has been. From all evidence we can just see tracey has resigned for her own personal reasons, unless she actually says something to the contrary its best left at that and we celebrate an amazing ten years.

What rumours am I peddling? Charlton love promoting their videos. From a clubs point of view i would have expected atleast Rodwell to do a presentation.  For all the Amazing work Tracey has done for Charlton over the years . It's my point of view . If there's any Rumours going round I'm unaware of them . Just think Tracey deserved more . A great lady well respected by players and supporters

The presentation put out was the players showing their appreciation for Tracey. There appeared to be no other staff present. I'd be absolutely gobsmacked if there wasn't another presentation involving the rest of the staff. Not everything has to be shared with us.
But as said, Charlton like there videos which is great for us supporters , and as Tracey is extremely popular with Supporters if they had they would have video it and released it . It what a family/ community club would do , which is what makes Charlton a Great club
Unless they didn’t want to video it. Jesus, you are totally unbelievable.

She's stood up to some loathsome characters at the club during her tenure without feeling the need to walk, and she's given her explanation, which should be accepted.

What those speculating that the truth hasn't come out are saying implies they don't believe her explanation. That's disrespectful to her without supporting evidence, not heresay, to the contrary. She deserves better IMO

I wish her well in her next venture.
I've not seen her explanation on why she's leaving, could you provide a link.

Reflecting on her departure, Leaburn said: "It has been an incredibly difficult decision to leave the club, but after 10 years, I feel the time is right for a new challenge."

    Sorry Big Dave Lockwood!
  • Full page on Brian Cole stepping down in Saturday's programme.

Also a full page from a Tracey something, she's something to do with player care, or was as she's leaving.

And two pages about curing medieval diseases.  Who writes this stuff?

It was a player's presentation. Is that too hard to understand? BTW she was head of player care so the right thing for them to do.

  • I thought it showed a bit of gumption - not to mention sincerity - for the players to take the lead, rather than await a management directive.
  • People often organise leaving do's and have a whip round for work colleagues without management/ board involvement don't they?
  • I thought it showed a bit of gumption - not to mention sincerity - for the players to take the lead, rather than await a management directive.
I mean technically the players were her department of work, so it's not exactly unusual for a department to do something independently of the wider company if someone leaves.

Completely agree but bet she's usually the one organising it!
