  • I have nothing to add, I just saw this ad on this page and took an IQ test, 131. Nice.

No, that was the amount you had to put on your credit card!

May never break into our first team but feels like we’re going to do very good business with him
  • I predict that Dixon will not start a league game for us.
Maybe if we have clinched promotion with four games to go, we might give him a run?

No reflection on the player but the original transfer might bear some investigation.
You can’t just drop that in without some explanation of what you mean.
I suspect he's suggesting a certain former director with links to both CAFC and the academy in Jamaica might have a had a vested interest in getting young Kaheim over to Europe, which might have potentially clouded judgement on his ability and readiness for such a move, somewhat.
But Dixon wasn't signed from Mount Pleasant.
No, but I would be surprised if it wasn’t Methven who really championed that deal and I doubt NJ would’ve been pursuing him otherwise. It would potentially help drive future interest in European clubs bringing over young players from Jamaica, such as those in the Mount Pleasant academy, if Dixon were to do well here and demonstrate that Jamaican talent can make the step up. That and we also hear our Jamaica inspired third kit was Charlie Boy’s idea and was even, possibly, intended to be our second strip.

I’m just speculating on what Airman may be driving at, is all. But I also doubt Charlie’s nan was from Kingston so his sudden love for the Reggae Boyz probably extends beyond just having a really nice holiday there once.

Charlie boy has also been in touch with other Football Ferderations in the Caribbean region about youth development / transfers.
From inferior stock? Good lord Charlie, that wasn't the bally mission old boy!
There's plenty of raw, undeveloped talent in the region.

I agree with this. Wasn’t an NJ signing, won’t get a look in.

Based on those highlights it definitely backs up the claims that we bought for illegal reasons rather than potential talent.
Yeah, not like he was already a full Jamaican international or anything like that either - maybe his caps are dodgy as wel

We are the new Chelsea - stockpiling talent to loan out to underling clubs

Taylor, Gasman, Mitchell, Dixon and a couple of others £££££££  :)

The truth is out there ....born in Bermondsey, rejected by Millwall and of Scottish descent.

    Who knew ? :o

Nothing that I have heard about his transfer reflects on Dixon or his ability. Watching a local football podcast/vlog they were quite disparaging about him joining Charlton, feeling he should have gone straight to a higher level.
  • Exciting highlights package there, especially considering he didn't even play majority of the game.

Great to see he wasn't just looking to go on mazy runs in oppositions half, but on numerous occasions was the one battling to win the ball back near his own box.

The information which of course cant be shared but lets keep hinting publicly at it. Of course.
  • My guess (no more than that) is that maybe Chrlie boy set something up so that he personallybwould benefit financially from the deal if it paid off. Or maybe any future deals from the link up.
Well that wouldnt be something which one would have to question if it was illegal, it clearly is. Airman brown in his previous riddle said he didnt know if what he heard (which we still dont know) was illegal, any thats so obtusely illegal it wouldnt even be questionable its literallly fraud, embezzlement, or breach of fiduciary duty depending on jurisdiction. Assuming of course club funds were used for purchase. Also we would need to know exactly how the said party would benefit ie image rights, sell on etc.

Crawley fans saying he was best player on the pitch when he was on.
This is the Dixon dilemma in a nutshell. "Best player on the pitch, no-one could get near him" - BUT in League 2. He's clearly got bags of talent but he's perpetually playing catch up and I'm not sure if the stars will ever align in just the right way that we get to see him break through at Charlton - though I do hope to be wrong.
Another way to look at it though is that if there was a 20 year old kid tearing it up in league two, then he's exactly the sort of player you'd expect a Championship club to be looking at signing.
    100% this

I don't understand how his ability isn't being questioned, but the level he signed for is.

That's a stupendous highlight reel, especially given he came off the bench.
  • Lets hope he gets more minutes tonight
  • I doubt he will ever break into our team just doesn’t seem like a Nathan Jones type of player and not sure if he quite reaches the level, gives an Elewere/Barker/Wiredu kind of vibe someone who almost made it but not quite there. But good opportunity to make a healthy profit on a player who clearly has a lot of potential and cost us peanuts
