Kaheim Dixon - on a season long loan to Crawley (p25)

This will go one of two ways and probably determine if the kid has a future here. He seems to have the raw talent to tear it up in league 2 but his lack of professional minutes and his diminutive stature means he may well not be able to replicate that in the EFL.
So intrigued to find out though and I think crawley or Bromley were the best 2 options for him.2 -

I might be drunk but when I saw him against Dartford he had more of a spark and opportunity than most of the other players. He has potential and will go further in his career and I hope that's with us.2

The thing is...
He's obviously now fallen behind Fullah.
Will he ever catch up? The writing's on the wall...3 -

Dixon is a wide forward(old fashion winger) mainly and coming to CAFC at 20 was raw and not easy to make the transition after no academy training in a European or South American recognized football country.
I said it was time for Dixon to go on loan and pleased he has this opportunity at Crawley.
Fullah has already shown his versatile and can play in a number of positions including wing back and attack from wide positions or move central as he showed with his tenacity in scoring his goal against Stevenage.
Just my opinion but Fullah could be the best talent to come out of the Cafc academy to progress to the 1st team over the last five seasons; if he stays fit, humble and keeps learning with his natural ability.3 -

Nonetheless it will be interesting to see if Dixon makes it and I hope he does.0 -
Really interesting thread here on how this loan could effect our ability to do overseas recruitment next season, basically Dixon needs to play 70% of Crawley’s minutes to qualify for a work permit and not use up one of our extra spaces

Dixon does so well to take on a handful of opposition defenders, but his final effort is at the keeper.1-075’ | #TownTeamTogether🔴0

I think I could probably just about play as a 10 against Dartford!1

Like all our youth of similar age he has a couple of years of loans to prove himself. I have not seen enough to have a view either way but he clearly has a chance is he is impressing in league footy.8

Crawley are on Sky so worth tuning in12

I’m just speculating on what Airman may be driving at, is all. But I also doubt Charlie’s nan was from Kingston so his sudden love for the Reggae Boyz probably extends beyond just having a really nice holiday there once.

Dixon definitely needs game time to prove that he can do it. He’s not a teenager and although still young I think this coming season could easily be make or break for his Charlton career. He needs to be selected week in week out at Crawley because given the hype about he’s ability he should be very capable of looking good in league two.2
