Kaheim Dixon - on a season long loan to Crawley (p25)

Really looking forward to seeing how he gets on,
Let's hope the loan has the same impact it did for Karlan Grant10 -
They’ve lost their first two games in League Two, making this the perfect opportunity for our young Jamaican international (with 18 caps) to showcase his skillset and help drive them up the table.

Desperately needs to play regularly, to show what he can do.
Hope he tears it up down there, all the best Kaheim!2 -
Anyone know what system they play ?0

I'd love to be proved wrong but I doubt he will ever feature for us in the championship.
If he does OK at Crawley I can see them signing him permanently at the end of the season.
He would have to be very good for us to try and keep him.
Like I say I hope I'm wrong6 -
Another one lightening the wage bill and getting game time, a win win for both parties.

Agree with this. I don't think it helps that he's now behind the pecking order of some of our younger academy lads coming through.blackpool72 said:I'd love to be proved wrong but I doubt he will ever feature for us in the championship.

Crawley are my pick to get relegated this year too, so I'm not sure it will be a great place for his development.
I hope to be wrong on all counts though. He seems a likable kid and I have a soft spot for Crawley.0 -
They were a lot of peoples picks to be relegated last time they were in L2 (and went up) with scott lindsay at the helm I think they'll be fine and do play attacking football so should be a good fit for him.Croydon said:

Yeah hopefully. I'd heard there were some issues behind the scenes but could have been bollocksLTKapal said:

He is too good u21 football. Not good enough yet for championship football so it is time for him to put in the work to progress up the ladder. League 2 is the right level for now5

New majority shareholders over the summer , massive falling out surrounding transfer policy so one of the Americans completely walked away.Croydon said:

Thought he might struggle to get this sort of move given the lack of game time so pleased to see this. Be interesting to see how he copes.2

Kid is so young and never played men’s football regularly, wouldn’t be writing him off so soon. It’s a good loan and I’m glad they trust us still after having Aaron Henry for a bit1
-
That loan to me makes sense.
Good luck Kaheim.1 -
I'm gonna skew the other way and say this has strong 'recalled in January' vibes. Kid has oodles of the sauceblackpool72 said:I'd love to be proved wrong but I doubt he will ever feature for us in the championship.

I think there’s a good chance of you being right about him having talent, Leuth, but with the number of strikers we have , I can’t see him being recalled this year . Unless he gets 20 goals before Christmas or something crass , but even then - that’s 2 leagues below. Unless you meant that he’d be recalled in January and sent to league one .Leuth said:

Hadn't realised they'd been taken over again, probably for the best0

Will be keeping an eye out for Crawley every weekend now..6 -
Seemed lightweight in the games I saw him....although that was limited minutes.....probably needs to bulk up a little......0
-
When I think of Crawley, I instantly think of terrible "new town" type architecture and Steve Evans, then I want to vomit.... Just thought I'd put that out there
Good luck Kaheim0 -
Think he will tear it up there. Best of luck Kahiem. Always seems to be innthebmiddle of the banter and having a great laugh whenever he's on the socials.

His loan to Crawley was a massive boost in the trajectory of Karlan Grant.3

A punt by Crawley too, gambling on someone who played virtually no first team minutes for us last season, but a reasonable gamble, as he might be very decent.2
-
I seriously hope you are correct.Leuth said:

Nothing I'd like more than for Dixon to go on and become a Charlton legend.1 -
I’d go along with that as well.blackpool72 said:I'd love to be proved wrong but I doubt he will ever feature for us in the championship.

No reflection on the player but the original transfer might bear some investigation.2

When he appeared for us, it still had that youngster gaining experience by being on the bench feel about it, loads of tricks in the lad but still had a frail look about him. Contrast that to Fullah, Rylah and Enslin and he seemed someway off. A good move for him and the clubs, if he gets minutes, then Charlton can see if he's worth sticking with, he needs to play regularly though.0
