Once Sunderland complete their latest signing, the three promoted clubs will have spent over £300m on players:
Sunderland £122m on 10 signings Burnley @£100m on 13 signings Leeds £73.5m on 7 signings
Mad!
Burnley and Sunderland have also received hefty fees for Trafford and Bellingham, but it does show the crazy finances of football where signing several 8 figure players won't keep you up.
Grealish going to Everton. Very good signing for them and if he rediscovers his Villa form, will be a lock for Tuchel's world cup squad.
I don’t think he will be . Gordon, Gittens, Madueke, Foden, potentially Rashford all playing champions league football and can play left side.
I get the Champions League aspect, but I'd say Grealish is better than all of those others mentioned. As for Turkel, he puts Hederson in the squad. Christ on a bike...
We haven’t seen a good Grealish for some time though .
Oh look, the annual Spurs link to Eze has come up, for the 3rd consecutive season (4th if you count his last season at QPR!) Same release clause that Spurs have known about for the last 3 years and they STILL try and get him on the cheap. I absolutely despair.

Got to laugh really. In todays world of vastly over-inflated transfer fees, i actually think his release clause of 68m is good value. He's a good age, lots of PL experience, an England international, and got double figures for goals in all of the last 3 years.

In an average side too. Though, if one accepts that as Spurs finished below Palace last season, I'm not sure moving to Spurs is the career defining move it seems at face value. Until Levy and his Board prove that they mean business by actually making marquee signings to supplement the odd decent signings they make, they will be average at best.
