Can’t see Knibbs starting as can’t risk an injury if he’s had little or no preseason
Harvey said he was blowing after his short cameo on Saturday as he had no pre season matches. 45 minutes for Knibbs either starting or coming off the bench to help his match fitness.
Charlie Kelman needs game time as well to get him back on his form and fitness of last season and work on his confidence as he makes the step up to the Championship.
Knibbs will definitely need 45 minutes on the pitch with his teammates.
Kerman is a striker that knows where the goal is. He just needs game time minutes with his teammates to understand how they play in real time and for them to know they have to look up for him and understand what he will do with the ball or a pass into space for him.
Got to witness a Knibbs injury time winner on Saturday, and I'll get to watch Piergianni grace the Valley turf for maybe his final time on Tuesday. It doesn't get much better than that.
Substitutes: Maynard-Brewer - Jones - Bell - Fullah - Berry - Kanu - Mbick
I doubt Edwards will play, after he was subbed off on Saturday with a slight knock.
Enslin on the left, Laqeretabua on the right?
I would have Ahadme on the bench. He might be an asset for us this season, or more realistically a decent performance against a L1 side might put him in the shop window.

We need consistency and to keep winning games, so I would hope Nathan would maybe start with the team that finished on Saturday and change things up in the second half. We don’t want to be dumped out by Stevenage so I’d like to see a strong team and some progress in the cup for once fer crissakes…

We want to be fresh for Bristol City though . I’m all for winning momentum but every game is going to require a lot of effort this season and we don’t want players jaded for Saturday . To me, it’s a team of players that didn’t start on Saturday , bar Kelman. It should still win
We tried that daft idea last season. It was only after we were dumped out of the EFL trophy and then beaten by Crawley in the league that we stopped fucking about with the line up in the league matches and we got our act together and turned the season around. Consistency in the line up is the number one priority. The subs bench is the way to then manage game time. This may be the Carabou cup and not the Championship but we’ve only had one competitive match so far so can’t afford to waste this opportunity for the starting eleven to get the minutes together.
I'd say definitely start with Knibbs and Kelman, mainly because this match is not as important as the league and Kelman could do with a goal or two to start his account for the season. Knibbs said in the interview that he hadn't had a pre-season; this is a great game for him to get some minutes under his belt, even if it is for 45-60. While I understand there are some players you don't want to risk and ensure they are fresh for Saturday, they've played one competitive game so far. Why do they need a rest already, they're professional athletes.

It's real life, not Football Manager. Every single manager with a game tonight will make changes.
Consistency in the lineup is the priority for league games, not the league cup. We have a squad and we will obviously give minutes to those who need them.

We’ve had one competitive game. Changing the line up tonight and changing it back again on Saturday is not consistency and the team will get its arses handed to them at Bristol City if we fuck about with changes tonight. Manage the minutes from the bench.

I feel we should keep a fairly consistent line-up, but not risk potential niggles. Those that need to be brought up to speed should start, i.e. Knibbs, Kelman, either Leaburn or Oloafe from an attacking perspective, Mannion in goal, I feel, will be our cup keeper and no doubt Gillespy will also start. In midfield, I'd like to see JRC have some minutes, as well as seeing what the likes of Fullah and some of the other youngsters can do.
It's great having that depth, but most of us surely want to be beating Stevenage and maybe getting a Premier League Club later on in the competition—winning breeds confidence and can only be a good thing

Only playing one competitive game so far is exactly why we will make changes. Not because players are tired, but because other squad players need minutes. Knibbs isn't going to build up his fitness by playing 15 minutes as a sub once a week is he?
Bristol City i'm sure will also make a bunch of changes and if we do get our arse handed to us on Saturday it definitely won't be because we made changes for a league cup game in midweek.
