Passed away yesterday.

I dont really remember his acting but know him from voicing Mr Benn. Iconic character from my childhood.

Fine actor.

played “ Cathy’s” husband in the iconic sixties play Cathy Come Home.

Cathy was played by Carol White whom sadly died too young.

Cathy Come Home was one of the groundbreaking series of ‘Wednesday Plays’ on the BBC that demonstrated the power of political drama.
I seem to remember it was one of those that used film more than studio set ups.
Good actor and nice he will be remembered for Cathy Come Home.
