…anyone else massively disappointed by it? Increased in size yet still had next to no room and needing to queue to get in. Disappointed in both food stalls as the pizza place had no menus and The Grill had no prices, put me off buying anything just in case it was over priced.
Had to resort to food in the ground (Covered End Lower) and they’ve removed the self service drinks machines and half the pumps didn’t seem to work, along with the food being substandard & expensive still.
Maybe I’m just bitter at the lack of Chicken George and needing a rant but as a whole I felt quite disappointed in it

I imagine the situation is the same as in the ground, serving pints and not in plastic bottles.Until both services are given a big overhaul things will only get worse, particularly as we can be looking at 20k gates on many occasions this season.Alternatively, you have the better options in both Woolwich and Greenwich, also The Radical by Plumstead station, plus The Abbey Arms next to Abbey Wood station.1

Arrived 11.20. Queued 15 mins to get in Fan Zone and 30 mins to get a pint

The Fan Zone was on a par with last season and fair play to all that were involved to make it a success1

Definitely busy, and still a work In progress- tables/sitting/standing area needs to be sorted to make sure there’s space to queue for the bars!Food offering was poor- these things need to be cheap and quick to produce, which is why chicken George was so popular. Had the pizza, which was good but would equally like to apologise to anyone in the Covered End who had to put up with the amount of garlic they’d put in my pizza! It’ll get better1

The music overwhelmed the announcements etc in the ground. So I’d say turn it down!!!!!!4

just have an entrance of fans streaming in, and sort the beer lines and it’ll be buzzing!
understand the Reebok kid/football zone was a one off so a good chunk of space hopefully freed up nex ttime0 -
Opened at 10:00, me and my youngest walk in at 10:10, burger place said not serving for another 15-20 mins, my mate said same story for pizza wagon, I went to the brick lane bagel wagon instead, which was decent.
Why as a business would you not be up and ready to go for opening time? Very shoddy, they must have lost quite a bit of money to the bagel wagon.
Another mate came back after waiting a long time for a beer to say two of the staff were playing with their phones.
Big shake up on training for actual customer service needed, or sackings, some of these youngsters serving just don’t seem to care or get it.
Added to that as we walked in a steward who seemed to have the IQ of a chair leg actually asked me “Are we at the west side of the ground”? Then as I showed him our season tickets for the covered end for entry he stated that it was only for “west side fans” until another steward interrupted and corrected him.
Where do we get these idiots, and who is training them?11 -
Reading the Watford forum about their catering yesterday makes our fan zone sound like the Savoy.3

I have to say, being in the fan zone after the match in the beautiful sunshine drinking a cold beer whilst everyone around me was really happy because of the result was a really joyful moment.29

Took one look at queue and couldnt be bothered, saw from above in west upper. Would be good it was more open, little larger and they had some sing along tunes! Why is there a ‘door’ 😂? Stop away fans or over crowding?0

I would make it bigger, get rid of parking spaces and have covered parts. Beer carts in addition to the bar and maybe loose the dj and show the early live games (when we are 3pm).1

To be fair they normally do show the early games! The constant grime music is dragging a little though.. there are other genres out there!2

Mrs went down with little shit midday to get a burger , they could see no queue for burgers but there was a queue to get in so they spun around and went in the ground .
i mean the burger man is missing out on sales with the fannying to get in there when it wasn’t mobbed2 -
Bartrams was the same 10.45 ok getting served and 11.30 rammed and staff swamped ( only 3 behind bar ) inside the ground lower covered end - loads of trainee and inexperienced staff - will get better - big plus nice pint of IPA in Bartrams0

Only draught lager or cider available plus pepsi bottles. Staff have no clue what a cider is and went to pour me a black cab.... Also opened 30 mins late because the bar staff was still getting the draught selections ready.....
And security people a bit weird, last night was asking to see tickets for the match. I get it when you have to stop Stevenage fans getting in, but myself included, 90 per cent of people in the fan zone was wearing a Charlton shirt of some kind....0
