  • Chaplin got booked after the equaliser. The reason,  he kicked the ball with a lot of force into the crowd, which annoyed the Brum players. A justified booking imo.
    Ah, didn’t realise that. Cheers.

I think Chaplin was trying to boot it into the net and missed, can see why he got booked but the Brum player who charged into him should have been too
Yeah, thought the Brum player should’ve been booked too.
  • A good time to play Ipswich, as they have effectively lost their 2 best players, Delap who's gone already, and Hutchinson who's on his way, and have money to spend.
  • Who said you have more time on the ball in the Championship ! 🤷🏻‍♂️
  • What a feeling to have this thread title on CL and we're involved!!

By my maths we will be above both in the league if we win tomorrow? Please confirm if true…
If we win today and the other lunchtime games are draws then we'll be top of the table, maybe only for few hours but heyho.

    Edited this.

If we lose and the other lunchtime games are draws then we'll be bottom of the table!!!

Alfie Doughty starting for Millwall. His family must be in bits.
  • Haha! Millwall keeper’s had a mare.
  • Good to see Millwall back in their place, after briefly going ahead of us in the table.
  • Us and Millwall fighting for one of those automatic places.
  • Fuckin Millwall,been under cosh last 15mins & now turned it around & scored a second…🫣🙄

  • 2 - 1 to Millwall.
Like most teams in this league a lot are evenly matched. Very competitive and hardly much between them. That's why even this early in the season those first points are important.

    Always rated Langstaff.

  • Millwall in the play offs
  • Says it all about the division that Stoke are the only team to win by more than a solitary goal and only one of three teams that have managed two goals or more from 10 matches. Small sample and it is early days but, as Burnley demonstrated, clean sheets can get you up to the PL. In fact, apart from Leeds, no team scored 70 goals and Sunderland managed to get promoted with just 58 goals in 46 matches.

This is why it was so important to have had a promotion last season based on a solid defence. And Fortress Valley of course!
I’m sure in the Norwich v Millwall game they said Norwich scored 71 last year.
  • Quality from Scott Twine there

It was. For those not watching, he's scored the most direct FKs in the the EFL+PL the last 5 seasons - so no silly fouls next week please.

How nice it is watching an exciting, high quality game as a neutral in your own division.
  • This Sheff U v Bristol City game is a cracking watch.
  • A third great goal there

  • Fantastic goal, telepathic pass to the onrushing wingback who finishes with aplomb
  • Jones would have blocked it, Edwards would have got a tackle in, or Ramsay would have just intercepted it before the scorer got to it...

Jokes aside, was an absolute beaut of strike... love those daisy cutters that just arrow into the goal, they're almost therapeutic to watch.

    Always rated Langstaff.

That was Langstaff's 1st goal in his 34th game for Millwall !

Prolific in the National League which is the 5th tier when he broke a scoring record while playing for Notts County.
  • Horror show for Sheff Utd... Bristol City will be brought back down to earth next Saturday!!
  • Next week looks tough 😂
  • Sheffield United having a stinker now, Bristol City using that high press and counter attack to great effect

We'll need Edwards to be fit and at his best to negate McCrorie, their RWB. Twine looks dangerous too, will have to make sure we don't concede any free kicks 20-30 yards out
  • I'm in a pub quite near Bramall Lane. The vibe in here is going to be fucking weird in about 40 minutes
