He certainly seems to care (As shown by his comments, and line ups) even up until next week, about the squad getting the same amount of minutes as a whole, rather than focusing on a main eleven that'll go into the game against Watford.
Makes sense really, the Championship is going to be gruelling step up from League One, rotation will no doubt be a huge factor, given the running these players will have to do, and so injuries will be a bigger risk. Means that anyone coming into the team needs to be ready.
Such an enjoyable long interview with the impressive Charlotte and Nathan was his usual assertive persona and good fun to hear him talk about 'Nathan Jones' in the 3rd person !
I don't feel we have our Charlton back but a new synergy between the owners, Manager, coaches, fans and not forgetting Jim Rodwell who Nathan phoned 50 times a day to get the new lads in the door.
Let's hope the fans step up and realize that a defeat really isn't the end of the world but every point will be vital and every win will be special.
That was a great interview — I was already looking forward to Saturday, but now I genuinely can’t wait. Hopefully we get off to a strong start. If last season taught us anything, it’s to trust the process.
Fantastic interview and probably the most relaxed I have seen NJ. A refreshing honest appraisal of last season and the season ahead. The quote that stood out for me was that the championship isn’t the destination it’s part of the journey!!!! Fuck me he is going to get us back into the premiership
Absolutely brilliant interview... and judging by that, Rodwell is getting some undue stick, Jones was pretty much waxing lyrical about the work they've done together
Get the impression that Jones really does have an affinity with us and it’s not just manager speak. He definitely got things right yesterday and we looked worthy of our Championship place. No idea if Nathan has a ceiling as a manager but my gut feeling is if he’s allowed to do things his way and gets the support from the owners then we will continue to improve. Don’t think it will be meteoric but sure and steady. Really pleased he got himself and us through that early sticky patch because right now we’ve got ourselves a real gem.
My take on Jones is that he has set himself an ambitious target with us and is determined to reach it. He is clearly somebody who has a Clough like total faith in his own ability. It probably helps us that he has experienced downs in his career. It must make it more likely he will stay for a while.
Jones starting his post match comments on the BBC with a mention of yesterday’s minutes applause speaks volume of the guy and his affinity with the club. Top man.
Excellent post match interview and I agree I do think he gets the club. However as I mentioned after his midweek interview he seems to have a calm assurance about him that I haven’t noticed before. He sees the squad everyday maybe he knows what he has to work with and knows there is a lot more to come

"Gavin Carter coming in as chairman settled a lot of things down off the pitch"
