Bit of a gap, but Lyle scored the opening goal in a 3-0 win, highlights show him doing some clever stuff as well on the wing letting a ball run/flicking it on into space. Been a lean spell, not scored for awhile? Anyway now 10 league goals plus 2/3 in various cups means he's close to my max prediction of 15 for season if he plays 30+ games. H e still has it, but definitely slowed down a tad.
Tough game away at Bradford next Saturday.
Surely it’s about now he packs it in for the season? šŸ

I didn't think he cared about football & the 2 seasons he spent at Forest would have earned himself enough to retire.Ā

Chelmsford have a lot of money to splash and should be really strong at that level.Ā

Ā But their manager isn’t great at all

National League South is one of the crazier leagues , there's always someone that gets big investment in the off-season , signs a few EFL names on their way down but then gets the managerial appointment wrong.Ā

I don't like the guy but that's not really a great dig now he's 35 - almost proves his point of not missing out on his big contract etc too (although I still don't agree - you fulfill the contract you signed in the first place).

What is the point of signing a contract?Ā
    Doesn’t mean anything to him.
Will just walk away when it suits.

Chelmsford are my other team so amused by this... We've just gone professional and got some decent investment so will see how Lyle gets on! We were also interested in Andy Carroll so I wonder who was next on the list.. 🤣🤣

For all the complaints about the new manager he managed to get Braintree out of this league so knows what he's doing. So far, so good. Completely new team but beat the arsenal development squad last week. Reckon we will be there or thereabouts this season... And I hope Lyle behaves

I haven’t seen a return to nursery school like that since Blackadder shoved Baldrick’s head down the toilet and his life flashed before his eyes on that millennium special.

    ā€I’m 25, I’m back at nursery schoolā€. Or 35, in Lyle’s case.

Think it's a good move. Could be on his way back. Only shame is i don't think we'll easily be able to see his goals on any highlights show. Plus i can't get a bet on him that low down the pyramid or find the fixture on william hill's list for Saturday as it stands.

Mmmmh, I wonder if people still believe him when he says he doesn't like football.

    Attention seeking as always.Ā

No chance Bonne gets a gig in tier 5. He is not good enough.
  • All making fun of me but none of you have ever played for titans of Chelmsford.

Can't wait until he scores a couple of goals in the NL South after about 5 games and we're told he would have been a better choice than Kelman.

So what's this then. Remedial school? Retirement School? Holiday Club?

Hatrick last week in the cup, and the winner at Bath yesterday in the league. On the way back finally!

Goals from last week can be viewed here
    https://chelmsfordcityfc.com/news/highlights-chelmsford-city-6-0-hertford-town/

He got the first 3 in a 6-0 win, between 3mins35 and 6mins 35 in those highlights
