Read the headline and thought Ben Watson was back.17

I seem to remember from a previous thread that one was bundled over by a pitch invader that posts on here. There is photographic evidence.0

It did happen & the most memorable bit about it was when somebody ran onto the pitch & attacked one of the dinosaurs which led to a chase across the pitch from a couple of policeman.9

It definitely happened....it is one of my earliest memories0

I thought it was the last game of the 75-76 season against Bolton. I remember the poor old dinosaur couldn't get up and I was quite upset. I'm still a bit traumatised 49 years later.

The good old days before risk assessments and all that bollocks3

I had forgotten all about that. Now vividly recalled. Tilted over on side with legs flayling. Thanks so much usedtobegood. A newly wed living in Griffin Road, Plumstead at the time, I can recall Hales vs Flanagan handbags, and a superb Guy Fawkes firework display at the Valley. The good old days. Happy times when you could buy a decent house for £10,500 and afford the cost of living. Enter Thatcher, stage right.....1

Then we had the Sumo wrestlers for the Monday Night Football when Sky first started.

60 million years ago, there were dinosaurs located at equivalent earth surface of the valley.
A Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably eating the remains of a stegosaurus right by the pitch invasion remains of the sofa.
