1.6 million the reported figure Charlton received from Chelsea for Burstow now seems to have turned into good business as his career stats show 5 goals in 80, pretty dreadful for a striker although I guess he still has time to improve .2

The fact is he left us way too early in his career and it’s held him back . I’m sure his bank balance is ok though.I wouldn’t have him back because I think he hasn’t progressed .3

very ineffective today at Stockport in a 2-0 Bolton loss (Mothersille scored Stockport's first, but generally looked wasted playing a s a right winger)0

Another two goals yesterday, currently top scorer in League One with seven to his name now.17

Some real nonsense in this thread. Burstow is a decent young player - he's still only 22 - and after losing his way a bit after the Chelsea move, is now starting to show what he can do in the right environment, and getting his confidence back.
Was he good enough for Chelsea? No, but you can't blame him for taking the offer.11 - Sponsored links:

My opinion on young players is it mostly comes down to their attitude, ballsiness. Think Jonjo, Bowyer, Gerrard, Solly, Saka, Foden, Lookman, Gomez, Maguire
All immediately behaved like they were meant to be there. So many youngsters look exposed sometimes physically but mostly mentally. Mason for me did exactly the best thing for a young centre forward in getting a few goals early on but its also the worst thing in a way as it sets an unrealistic expectation when in reality the male brain is still developing let alone the senior football brain. Its a lot harder for young strikers than it is for other positions, maybe goalkeeper is comparable.
Mason played in a shit team, it wasn't like he was given decent service to shank chance after chance, he got scraps and then, a bit like Jayden Stockley, he was expected to be a hold up, link up player, a goalscorer and thats just unrealistic. Carl Leaburn also suffered in a similar way by being thrown in every game as he was the only option. For some reason we stitched Joe Piggot up like that too and he never recovered from the Millwall game he was dropped in for2 -

Sonny Carey is another good example. Blackpool fans seemed to have a similar opinion to ours of Morgan in that he was too inconsistent. He's only now showing he can compete in the Championship at 24.
On those who behaved like they belonged there I think Fullah is in the mould. Look at his goals in the cup games and the one on preseason, all taken so confidently. It's just difficult for NJ to play him with Carey and Knibbs joining and Berry being one of his senior players.
Good to see it's starting to click for Burstow. I have doubts about him at Championship level, but if he's regularly scoring that'll give him a much better chance of making that step up as goals will buy him time.4 -
If he keeps this up then he'll be recalled by Hull in Jan and we could end up playing against him.2

One of my sons is going out with a very good friend of his girlfriend, they are all meeting up soon.4

He can't be recalled to the Hull team to face us as he's on loan to another club and that loan runs until January.3 -

What was Leaburn’s best goal return in league one? Burstow must be close to that already this season0
