Without getting too far ahead of ourselves
It seems for some time Our Wonderful club is now moving in the right direction

We know we have been in the wilderness for too many yrs
Yet we have kept the faith and finally we have Owners with Ambition and who clearly have a vision and plan to take us Upwards
Many thanks to Gavin Carter and our American friends from across the Pond

    It never stops  :D:D:D
  • Spending on the squad very important, and they have also invested in NJ and bolstered his team. Along with the work also being done at The Valley. Can't wait to see what has been done next week.
It does feel like the momentum of earlier this year is being carried on with support from the owners and board.
I have not been this positive about our club for over 20 years. It feels like everyone is pulling in the same direction.
If it keeps going, I really hope they sort out ownership of The Valley as well.
In the meantime I can't wait for this coming season.

5 straight defeats on the bounce, and this thread might get a bit tetchy, all aboard the fickle bus.

    Drooling at these stats.

    That’s without Godden and Tupac
    & goal machine Macca.

You might want to get your shift key looked at. Reads like a revivalist leaflet.
  • Signing exciting young players for hefty fees and giving long contracts
extending our own youth players contracts before they break through to the first team
    completing business early
extending Jones contract for a further 5 years
    giving the valley an facelift

Just this summer alone has put them above any ownership since the premier league years in my eyes,

''ain't no better time to be a charlton fan''

……just gotta get The Valley and Sparrows Lane back in friendly hands and this club really will have turned the ship around.

    agreed - well said
  • A statement of intent. They want us back in the Premier League ASAP because that's where the big money is. Not surprising really, seeing as they are savvy, highly successful, business men.

That won't happen though will it.

  • Let’s hope the players turn into the dream team. Of course this might take a bit of time for them to gel.

I feel like things are different now mate.

Last season we wasn't really sure collectively how Jones would fair here, now we have experienced a wobble and seen Jones can turn it around.

We have spent a whole season watching a lot of these players and there's a good rapport built between the players and fans, I don't see us getting twitchy with them, especially when we know the task at hand is a lot harder, whereas League 1 there is an expectation we get promoted.

If you think back to Peterborough when we lost comfortably everyone was still in good spirits, same as Wrexham. I think Jones is well in credit now and we will get behind this team.

Let's hope we never have such a run that puts it to the test, but if we do, I'm sure they'll be a divergence of opinion, and we'll almost certainly have next season's  "I'm going to say it....."  dissenting post appear. I do actually agree with you both, but think more would back than call for the sack this time.
