The club is not paying staff, HMRC or clubs they owe transfer fees to. Surely that is worth more than a transfer embargo. When a new owner comes in they need to show that have adequate funds & source of those funds. If Chansari cant do that then they need to act. Whether that is a points deduction, relegation, being thrown out the League I dont know. But simply saying "nothing we can do" is a crock of shit6 -
The EFL are nothing other than cretins.2

I have said before, I don't want them to be kicked out of the league/closed down but I do want them punished
However, it kinda feels like football in general, needs a big club like this to go under, in order for the other clubs to stop playing loose with their finances2 -

And if the rules aren't in place then put them there. It might be too late for SW but it will stop another club going down this route.....or we will be saying the same next season when Leicester, Wrexham or some other club gets into trouble.2 - Sponsored links:

The weird thing is we are not in millions of pounds worth of debt. The club has made marginal losses in line with FFP for the last few years. We have spent minimal transfer fees. (Almost nothing over the last 8 years). I reckon Charlton have spent more this year than we have in fees for 5 years.
It is simply a case that our owner has stopped funding the club. Our gate receipts, match day revenue and merchandise sold all season is enough to cover the clubs wage bill. This has been proven based on the accounts.
This isnt a case of Chansiri overspending anymore. Gone are those days. We already were punished for that in the past.
This IS a case that our club functions 'ok' in terms of finances. It functions appallingly in terms of the ownership to the fans in regards to relationships and safety. But... Chansiri has literally stopped funding us. HE has stopped paying the bills.
We probably haven't been punished further yet because we don't have outstanding HMRC payments. We only have outstanding wages to all staff and players and outstanding transfer fees owed to other clubs (which I believe to be minimal).
Understandly there is a misconception that our finances are chaotic and weve spent millions and we are living beyond our means and the club is being reckless. But we arent. Its one man's mismanagement of finances and now his inability to fund the club.

Surely funds from ST's & EFL payments should go into a bank account that the office staff can access. Then they can keep the club running. Seems mad otherwise.0 -

If gate receipts, match day revenue and merchandise sold is enough to cover the clubs wage bill, you shouldn't need Chansiri to fund the club.
It may cover the wages, but presumably not everything else and the wages aren't 100% of costs.
Your finances are obviously chaotic.
You can't claim you don't need Chansiri to fund the club whilst also claiming your problems are down to his inability to fund the club.1 -

The EFL kicking them out would also push the club closer to the brink - no money from ticket sales, hospitality, sponsorship etc.The best thing to do would be to disqualify Chansiri as they did with Dai Yongge to push him into selling the club but we saw how long the process of doing that took.3 - Sponsored links:

Apologies for my naivety and I’m sure someone asked this already, but what is Chansiri realistically hoping to achieve here?I know our beleaguered Wednesdayite guests may say “TO KILL OUR CLUB” and I understand their emotion and frustration, but I’m talking about what is his actual financial plan here?
Is it as simple as just taking the rent from the club for use of the stadium for as long as he can get away with it?
Are there some other shenanigans going on that I don’t quite understand, maybe relating to tax write offs or something?
I’m only asking, because, the value of the club must be shrinking by the day and I don’t understand how a man, who is clearly motivated by money, sees profit in the current circumstances.1 -

The first thing that needs changing is the ridiculous amount of money premier league players earn.
I have no idea how to go about this though.3 -

Football sold its soul quite some years ago. From the working man's game, to this bloated behemoth of greed. Its becoming increasingly out of touch and unaffordable for working class people. Invented by the poor. Stolen by the rich. Good luck to SWFC in their attempts to rid themselves of Chansiri.

That’s it, until the matter is satisfactorily resolved, I’m boycotting John West tins of Tuna (don’t like the stuff anyway tbh) to show solidarity with the Shef Wednesday fans in their hour of need.0
