Oh Eddie Youds... said:cabbles said:Ahadme leaving is a real bonus - I thought we would have to take a hit on the wages and loan him out for at least this season. As much as he’s an honest pro, i genuinely couldn’t care less whether or not he goes on to have a decent career. Sick of seeing crap-mediocre players over the last 5/6 years and he’s very much up there with the Gilbey’s etcWe could well still be taking a hit on his wages if it’s a loan to Bolton.0

Apter won’t be playing as a wing-back — I see him as direct competition for TC. Let the best man win2

would be happy with this against Watford! Few headaches in there.2 -

We lost a player with the ability to take players on and get us up the pitch. We’ve replaced with a player who can do that and hopefully add the finishing touch. That role isn’t a defender anyway, like when Small played it, it’s probably closer to a right midfielder (where Apter played for Blackpool) than Right wing back10 -

Apter is a spa RWB0
-
Apter not a RWB but Thierry Small was? Don’t make me bring out the heat maps again!11

If Apter isn’t going to play out on the right (he definitely is) then who else is going to play there?0

When you zoom in on Johnnie the expression on his face certainly looks like he was giving what must have been an out of left-field comment by Nathan some thought and they probably don’t come more left-field than that given what we had paid for him and what his wages must be.
It was worn by Prince William when he trained with Curbs side.
But Jason Morgan told us that it was one of Mark Fish's boots that the future King borrowed.
Jason had been told by the minders that Wills wouldn't do any football or training but the prince joined in anyway.13 -

I think the tendency here is to try to get all the new players into the first 11. I see it as a 20 man matchday squad (9 subs remember) with few playing 90 minutes apart from the back 4 ( back 3+goalie) and maybe Coventry0 -

Great to have much better depth on paper. We should be able to bring on multiple attacking threats off the bench without weakening the team.

No way will Apter will be in the TC role up front, he's not a back to goal player. Not that TC is amazing at that either to be fair but he does a job.1

We should have kept Dowie as he was slowly turning things around.4 -
I tried making two different line ups of our depth for when we are in attack (and including Knibbs who is sounding more and more likely)
This looks so much healthier than it did just 2 months ago, and I am not even sure if we are stopping there.
It's at a point where it it hard to pick a forward line and only a few players are guaranteed starters. What a beautiful headache to have for Nathan Jones.7 -
Second one is suicidal. Would mean out of possession Asiimwe was playing RCB and Tanto RWB, Carey at LWB and Berry as an 82
-
Reading fan talking about Knibbs pressing ability for 11 minutes. Makes a change from the usual skills, goals and assists videos.

I like your First XI, Braziliance.
Campbell, Olaofe and Apter will share the two wide spots and all will get plenty of playing time, though Tanto may get the nod more than TC.0 -
Gillesphey in a back 4 is a massive no for me. I'd start him, but in a back 50
-
Just to clarify, those aren't actual starting XI's, they're to demonstrate our squad depth, that's why I specifically said "in attack" to show what two teams we could field if we were throwing the sink at a team..
It doesn't look as exciting showing ten defenders when the bulk of our money has gone on attackers.9 -
You lot must be exhausted after endlessly posting all day long. I’m making a cup of tea, anyone fancy one?11
