The British and Irish Lions is well represented by all four corners of the British Isles.

From Ireland, the team is represented by the full front row, two of the back row, a half-back, a full-back, a winger and a centre.
From Scotland, the team is represented by a centre and a half-back.
From England, the team is represented by a winger, both second rows, a back row forward and, of course, the captain.
And from Wales, the team is represented by red shirts and white shorts.
V funny about the kit but Scotland had 3 players in the team last Sat; a half back and both centres, didn't they?
  • Bit of a meh first half

  • But a monumental finish.
    Series win 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
  • Aussies & Indians crying today. If Carlsberg did Saturdays… ❤️
  • Great series win!
  • Very enjoyable Aussie whining too, adds the extra gloss.
  • Never played rugby & dont know or understand the rules. Thought our first try was a great big of skill & ingenuity and no idea what they are complaining about on the last one.

What did surprise me was that they were playing at the MCG. The Ashes is being played there in 6 months. What are they going to do about the wicket ?
  • Lot of Aussie Rules games are played at the test match stadiums so wouldn't worry.

They use drop in pitches at the MCG as well as at  Perth and Adelaide

With the rule changes, rugby is a much better watch than it was when I was young.  In all honesty, you could argue the Lions should beat Australia and they made heavy weather of it yesterday but I suppose the goal is to win the series 3 nil and they are still on track for that. If they do that, the tour can only be viewed as a success.

What would be a great series to watch IMO is the northern hemisphere against the southern hemisphere. No tradition behind it but a lot of pride and bragging rights.

You should offer the idea one of Sky, TNT, DAZN, Amazon sure they would come up with the money.

... But probably not the scheduling

  • Could just put on France v SA and be close enough to a North v South!
Had thought similar idea would be good also but think this tour showed how hard it is to just put 23 together and expect it to click straightaway.
  • Anyone else thought the kicking was poor yesterday ? I know a couple of the conversions were at dodgy angles but the % of misses was higher than I usually see.

Putting it down to nerves tbh.
That would be the biggest crowd most of them has ever played in front of. The atmosphere must have been immense.
Also the controversy re the last try was the head collision in the ruck before hand. But the replay clearly showed the Aussie geezer making an absolute Oscar performance of it thank goodness.

I believe that in Ozzy nowadays, the test wickets are all 'drop ins', otherwise the foot marks will cause a LOT of uneven bounce
