Makes the Small to Preston decision even more bizarre. If he knew what was about to go down here then I can’t see why he would have wanted to go.

But then again we clearly had the budget for him if we wanted to go there that much
NJ did not like him much. Hoicked him several times at half time for not following direction.
I've maintained for a while that I didn't (and don't) think that Small was released due to any questions about his ability - but I suspect he just wasn't quite the right type of character for a Jones squad. Just too unpredictable and maybe too maverick to really fit with a manager who has a very specific and definite system.

I think Small is a good player and could still be a better one but sometimes it's just not happening at a certain club or with a specific manager.

And how much are Wycombe trying to get for Kone, who properly tailed off at the end of the season?
We’ll find out the answer to that question when we buy him next week.

Signing a young striker to replace kelman... he looks about 45 🤣  how is he 28 lol
Imagine the meltdown on here if we were paying £500k for a striker on a 3 years contract who only played 13 games scoring 2 goals, golfies face would be a picture.

Go on Bolton.  He is young with an eye for goal and he's all yours for anywhere over £1M, as we are desperate for cash having realised we have over spent against FFP so you will be getting an absolute steal.  Get in quick before other clubs realise he is available for such a knock down price.

How on Earth has Ahadme managed to attract a club with promotion hopes?

Honestly, just accept whatever they are offering.

Would people prefer £5m on Kelman or £5m on Keillor-Dunn who, if you believe the rumours, we were interested in and had a similar asking price?

    Keillor Dunn isn’t coming.
Reported by Cawley and others that he wants to stay in the North for family reasons.

I thought Robert Earnshaw had come out of retirement for a second.
What a fantastic player he was.
Remember him scoring a hat trick? for West Brom back in the Prem days against us.
After coming on as sub if I'm not mistaken.

That wasn’t the question, it’s just a hypothetical discussion.

I would like to see footage of you driving him there, no  doubt you telling a younger and fitter bloke how crap you thought he was,
and the reaction that would bring.

Yep, kept them up didn’t it. Always wanted us to sign Earnshaw.

Kelman - younger so better value longer term, from the south so more likely to settle and should fit the style being a poacher like Godden.

Paying £5m for Kelman would mean various good things have happened so that the add-on conditions are met - lots of goals, staying up, winning the Ballon d’Or etc 😉 So, I’d say £5m for Kelman on that basis.

If Kelman gets 10 goals next season then that will have been a major success.
Simon Church got 10 goals in the Championship and you lot started calling him spongefoot
