  • Controversial figure these days perhaps but quite arguably one of the most famous and influential figures in the business.

Wrestling would be very different today without him.
  • ah man - a real part of my childhood gone there

    RIP
  • Very good in Rocky 3

    RIP

  • RIP.. Great entertainer.
  • My first real interaction with the Hulk was in The Gremlins film.  RIP to a giant of the Sports Entertainment Industry.
  • If you mention wrestling to me,it's his image that always pops in my head.
    Ledge
    RIP

Biggest name ever in wrestling. Without him it probably never gets broadcasted over here and maybe only ever stays regional in the states. RIP
  • The word 'legend' is often overused but for him it absolutely applies. Easily the most iconic wrestler of all time and even if you had no interest at all in wrestling, you still knew who Hulk Hogan was.

    RIP.
  • What price he makes a miraculous recovery at the funeral, springs out of his coffin, cups his ear and then pins the vicar after a flying elbow off the lectern?

    RIP (maybe)
  • Absolutely gutted.

Got in my car, playlist was on shuffle, Radiohead - High & Dry comes on, see the news on a flash news feed. I think that's the most a celebrity's death has ever hit me tbh.

I know he has gone down in a lot of people's estimations, but he is without a doubt a legend, probably one of the most recognisable people on the planet at one stage, and in my eyes the first real 'superstar' wrestler.

Ozzy, Mads and now Hulkster all within a few weeks, rough.

Rest in peace Terry Gene Bollea

  • "You see, dude, I was meant to die about 10 years ago, brother, but Vince begged me to come back for one more run as the face of WWE. So I had to come and run a train on all those bad dudes, dude, and let the Hulkamaniacs get jacked up on some Hulk Hogan, brother, and just like when I lifted Andre up over my head, jack, Infront of 200,000 Hulkamaniacs, brother, you know I still got the Hulkamaniacs jacked on my shit, jack, and those dudes gave me so much noise, God himself said it's not your time, brother, so after that show, I gave my lucky towel to some kid, dude, and he grew up to be Bron Breakker, jack"

    Or some such other nonsense.

RIP to one of the best Wrestlers to ever do it, he got the business and got it into the mainstream for a long time
  • "When it comes crashing down and it hurts inside........."

Even his entrance song was iconic as well.
  • RIP. Great character

He was an ultimate showman. Wrestlers take massive risks with steroids. I was never really into the wrestling but my younger brother was and I took him to the Excel Arena and watched Hogan v the Macho Man. It was a bit ridiculous in that Hogan was beaten to within an inch of his life but somehow recovered to win and it blew the roof off  RIP.
  • Was THE wrestler when I watched it as a kid. A really iconic character. RIP
  • RIP
  • Driving through rural South Carolina and when the news broke, his walk out song ‘I am a real American’ was literally on every station!

Loved WWF back in the day. Even still got my VHS of No Holds Barred!
  • Rest in peace brother
  • Legend of my childhood. Hulk and British Bulldog  were the big names in the primary school playground.
