I could make about 3 starting XIs in 3 different formations and be confident in absolutely none of them. What a lovely problem to have in Mid July

I don’t see why people think we are going to return to the team we were at the start of last season, solid at the back but not creating enough chances. We evolved from that team as the season went on and became a really good team
I think Ramsay to wing back is a step back towards that. Yes we need to be defensively solid but we still need to create chances to win games. I think we should stick to the formula from the second half of last season, as we were absolutely miles better as a team playing that way. So for me Apter swaps in for Small and we play the same way. Burke competes with Ramsay and Jones, Bell with Gillesphey and Edwards, Godden/Leaburn parter TC/Olaofe up front with TC/Olaofe drifting left0 -

We’ve definitely (on paper) over delivered compared to what was promised transfer wise. Almost a completely new team has been assembled for the champ. I’m all for it, exciting transfers. Almost feel like a proper club again3

I do think we will be in for RB/RWB soon but agreed, we may have moved on from Miller a while back.1

I can see him up front but with freedom to drift out there, which isn’t the same as playing as a winger where he’d have to track back more and mainly be a creative rather than a goalscorer.1 -

Edwards, Bell, Gillesphey, Jones, Burke, Mitchell (s) and Ramsay, to cover 5 defensive slots. One more is normal squad numbers when you consider injuries and 46 games.
I would more lean towards one of the Mitchell's going out on loan than selling Ramsay.
Having this many options is very normal and how proper clubs are run, competition for spots and squad depth.4 -

Jones will want exactly the same levels of intensity as he did last season, only now we’re up against better teams. Substitutions will be critical next season and having a like for like ability for the manager will make a big difference. We can’t afford to have too many untried and untested kids on the bench.3
