Good afternoon one and all...and welcome to another season, but not just another season is it, we are CHAMPIONSHIP, and don't it feel just great!!
So today we have our first pre-season warm up game, and we travel to Princes Park Stadium for a nice local kick around with Dartford FC, and I am sure a fair few Addicks will be in attendance to give it some atmosphere.
I suppose the topic of discussion on the terraces will be around how many new recruits will we see today, in a match that will probably have two completely different teams for each half with multiple substitutions/water breaks, and is all about match fitness and whist the win would be nice, just to make sure everyone ends the game in good shape.
So, everyone enjoy the day, stay hydrated with plenty of water, and maybe a hat would be a good idea...

Team news, if I can get any will be up later...

    Hope we see all the newbies in some capacity and not a single player picks up a niggle. We have done good business but effectively 6 in 5 out (more regular squad players and expired loans considered). We are 3-4 players still light of a Championship squad so cannot afford injuries

    This is just a gentle warm up game for both sides, I imagine neither have done any serious training with a ball yet.

    The only person I've ever seen take the Dartford friendly seriously was bizarrely Charlie Kirk who went Ape at a misplaced pass to him!

    Dartford will be right down there this season, really important to pick up 3 points in games like this. 

    Head says a tough point away from home, heart says a comfortable away win, UTA, UTA!

    It’s been suggested we play Dartford as our u21s play some of their home games at their ground, and we don’t want to play two clubs from that level.

    No official comment, but suspect the fact that one of their trialliasts smashed Miles Leaburn a couple of seasons ago and put him out for months has something to do with it.

    Did the player who crocked Leaburn ever get named? I can only remember him being described as 'a trialist'.

    Yeah, they deserve nothing from us, completely set ML back a whole season because of that. It’s stupid playing teams like that where they have players fighting for contracts versus us using it to get fit
